Best of the Inexpensive Small Cars - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Randy King - November 1 - 10:00 amI test drove the top of the line Honda Civic, the 2003 Corrolla S, and the Ford Focus and this car hands down blew the competition away! It is very fast, and a total blast to drive. The sun roof is quieter than most at 70 mph. If you like acceleration, you will like this car. I presently have 7,900 miles on it and only one factory defect upon delivery. (The auto trunk release did not work). Nissan needs to advertise this model more. If they did, I believe they could corner the small car market. I never would have considered a Nissan for this size car if it wasnt for a friend of mine that advised me to check them out.

A pocket rocket with practicality too. - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By mackattack - August 18 - 4:50 amIf you only care about getting from point A to B, get a Cavalier. If you enjoy the drive, get a Spec V. Precise steering & great seats let you carve corners w/ confidence. Power is always available. The Jetta 1.8T has a nice interior & great engine, but had a lot of body roll. The Impreza 2.5RS has good handling, but the engine didnt impress, even w/ similar HP. While nice, they dont to have the Spec Vs combination of sportiness & refinement (& cost a few $K+).

Spec V for 3 seasons - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By V-licious - May 2 - 2:00 amGood reliability, poor handling in the snow. I didnt expect for it to be great, but I got stuck on a slight incline and had to hoof it home. I have read about the tires and that is where Nissan seems to have gone wrong, although I think that it will still have problems after new tires are installed,I think it will be better. Other than that, this car is awesome. Handles very well in dry conditions, good pick up and go. Back seat leaves a little to be desired, but if you wanted a back seat you would get an Altima. The back seat is big enough for a car seat, and maybe one adult. This car is absolutely great for 3 seasons,

So Far So GOOD - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Brom - April 19 - 2:10 pmI got my Spec V a little to soon so I had the pay the MSRP. Overall I like the way this car drives, the shifter is very nice once you get a hang of it. very fun to drive. the rims are nice but they chip very easly since they are painted rims. For the price and performance you have to give up some thing and I guess nissan was willing to give up workmanship. the paint job is not to good and most of the sentras are not painted under the doors.

spec V - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By timmy b - February 24 - 10:00 ami just bought the 2002 nissan se-r spec V about a week ago. this car i VERY fun to drive and VERY fast. the 2 things i dont like about it is the color of the seats, there all red unless you get the leather package and the dealership where i got the car (Colonial Nissan) gave me s**t about getting the floor mats that were supposed to come with the car. other than that its a good deal!

Smooth Ride - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By acm147 - February 13 - 10:00 amI drove cross country in my Sentra this summer. 1700 miles in two days, and every mile was a delight. The sound system and 6 disc changer also made traveling more enjoyable.

Awesome freaking car - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Peatrie - December 14 - 10:00 amThis car is the best Ive owned. I went from a 98 Neon to My 02 sentra and I love this car. The 6 speed manual is easy to shift and the stereo is awesome. The sub could use a little more power but still awesome. The styling really looks ballzy.

Nothing flashy, but great reliable ride - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Jason - September 10 - 12:26 amBought back in 09/02 and the only issue Ive come across is the parking brake light wont go out (happened around 50k mi) - Other than that its been extremely reliable. It was -30 degrees here in MN not to long ago for about a week and it started fine every morning like a champ. Ride is smooth.

Love my Sentra! - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Keith - September 6 - 4:13 amI bought this care new with the upgraded Synergy Package and used it for service, I have had it 4 years and have 150k plus miles on it. I have no no problems with it, but the transmission does chirp from second to third gear shifts up and down both, but it hasnt affected the performance of it. I run it hard and its been a wonderful car, I havent even changed the plugs in it yet. It eats front brakes up about every 35k but I want to keep it and put 400k on it!

good little car - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By orcinus49 - August 19 - 2:00 amOverall the 2002 se-r is a good car with room for tweaks of improvement. It is an improvement over the 99 limited edition sentra gxe I traded in for this one.
