Overview & Reviews
Beloved by compact car enthusiasts, the Nissan Sentra SE-R returns after a seven-year hiatus. The Sentra SE is no longer available, though Nissan has created additional options packages for the GXE to make it similar to the SE.
- SULEV emissions status for CA model, 165-horsepower SE-R sport version, pleasing cabin design, fun to drive.
- Generic styling, GXE and SE-R models command premium price.

What To Say,?, It Is A BEAST!!! - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Gambit_DC - January 10 - 10:00 amFUN! On a bad day, take a drive and things feel so much better! I feel what everyone previous to my statement has said, except for one guy... (who probably got the car when the assembly line was taking a break) This car is beautiful. Everything is unique. People get in my car and say, "What is that, oh ish, this joint is sweet, damnnn!". And after you purchase one you will do the double take back at your car in the parking spot and smile. Feeling like I got the best car in the lot. (figuratively-$$$) I need not say more. I almost turned into a salesman trying to get all of my boys to buy one. It is that impressive. Sunr/f, Audio Fanatic, 17in, Spec V, got in 11/2001 19000 after tax title

Bye bye Accord - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Texas Greg - January 6 - 7:06 pmTraded in my anemic 95 Accord EX (2nd one) for some serious fun. I am not disappointed so far (only had it 4 days). Handling is excellent and has ample power which I havent fully tapped yet so stay tuned. Very supportive seats and quality interior design. Rockford sound system is worth every penny.

I definately recommend the Spec V - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By ewraven - December 7 - 2:06 amIve got 5500 miles on it so far. Its been a really good car. Very fun to drive. The rear end likes to slide; but, its nothing a better set of tires wouldnt fix. Seats are perfect. I took a 2000 mile trip and didnt have any sore spots. Shifter gets bad reviews; but, I got used to it very quickly. Only option I didnt get was the ABS/Side Airbags. I wish I had gotten the ABS, those wide tires like to slide on wet blacktop streets.

Mini-muscle car - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By SER165 - November 16 - 10:00 amFantastic deal for the price. 2.5 liter Altima engine in a car this size/weight makes it feel like a mini-muscle car; can burn rubber from a dead stop, acceleration from a stop is awesome and power going uphill and passing from speeds from 55-75 m.p.h. is amazing. Handling is excellent with sport-tuned McPherson struts and strut tower brace up front, improved torsional rigidity of the body due to 3rd member, large anti-sway bars front and rear and multi- link beam suspension in rear.

Great Car! - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By cobb_cruiser - October 1 - 10:00 amI have owned several Nissan vehicles (Maxima, 2 Sentras) and love them. They are definitely built to last long miles. The only problem with my current Sentra is with a clutch plate. I have had it replaced once (under warranty), and it has gone bad again. I need to take it in to the dealer again for repair.

Great price, great car - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By djmjr - April 22 - 10:00 amWe were looking at the Sentra, Corolla, Civic, and Elantra. We decided on the Sentra for its great price, tasteful styling, and solid build. Its been a great car, handles well, and has adequate acceleration.

YeeeeeeHaw - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Spec Velicious - April 22 - 10:00 amAfter test driving this vehicle I had a big S___eating grin on my face. What a blast to drive. I am 37 and the father of 2 kids, so i wanted something sporty, economical, and practical(4 doors). I did alot of research into all the other makes and models and test drove almost all of them(no american manufacturers). In my opinion the sentre se-r gave me all of what i was lookin for at the best price (17,200).Yes there are minor things that are not great about the car but, when you compare it to the competition they become irrelevant. Do yourself a favor and test drive one.

Nissan proven quality and reliability! - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By Dunlop - April 10 - 2:00 amI bought this car new in the beginning of November 2002. I test drove the Protege, Civic, Spectra and Impreza. I must say that the Sentra fit like a glove. It is solidly built and very practical. I also own a 95 200sx SE-R which I bought new and have never had a problem with it. My philosophy is if something works for you stick with it. Nissans are great cars and I encourage anyone in the market for a new car to check them out.

Awesome Car!!! - 2002 Nissan Sentra
By BooBoo - March 7 - 10:00 amI love my car. It has been nothing but dependable and reliable. And I love the way it looks. I am 19 years old and I had 3 cars before I bought my Sentra and all three of them were nothing but trouble. I had a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlas Ciera, a 1991 Chrysler Lebaron, and a 1995 Pontiac Sunfire. The Sunfire was the worst I had it for 6 months and put almost $1000 into fixing the problems that came up with it. I love my Sentra and I would recommend everyone to have a Nissan!!
