This Year's Model Updates:

All 2003 Pathfinders will offer optional satellite radio, with a choice of XM or Sirius services. The LE model receives a standard leather-appointed interior, while SE models feature restyled wheels. Both models also feature a new four-spoke steering wheel and electronic rear-hatch window release. For safety, there is a new Vehicle Dynamic Control Package that bundles Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC), traction control and a tire-pressure monitoring system. Two items no longer offered are the manual transmission and the optional navigation system. Guess you have to buy a map.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6 engine, carlike interior, solid reliability record, rear entertainment system option, available All-Mode 4WD system on LE models.
Cons:
  • Tight rear accommodations, high price tag, hard-to-fold rear seats.

  • Solid Truck! - 2003 Nissan Pathfinder

No major complaints, this is a very solid truck, superior build quality for its class and even for luxury SUVS. Excellent power...was looking into a V8 Explorer or a V8 Grand Cherokee, but went with the Pathfinder because it felt just as powerful. I wish I boought the LE.

I purchased my 03 pathfinder a year after the new body style came out. At the time I didnt need the 3rd row seat but now wish I purchased that instead. shortly after purchasing I brought it back in because I had a heat shield loose and exhaust leak. My service engine light is always on, I have it shut off and after driving anywhere from 60-200 miles it turns back on because an evap leak. I recently had a smoke machine hooked up to it and was able to find the leak near the gas tank. I have removed almost all the heat shields and replaced my muffler twice and had it fixed once.

I had done alot of research before purchasing my 2003 LE and all signs pointed to it being the best SUV in its class. After one test drive I was hooked. The interior is extremely classy w/ heated leather seats, 6 disc in dash cd player and climate control. The audio controls on the driver steering wheel are extremely appreciated. It also has reclining back seats which will have all my friends wanting to take long trips in my car. The pickup on this vehicle is amazing. It handles bumpy roads and turns with graceful ease. Outside noise is also very limited.

We searched around for 2 years looking for the right vehicle for a family who has children that participate in traveling sports (softball, bowling, volleyball, etc). This vehicle fits like a glove for us in roominess, comfort and overall comfort. We had a great test drive and had a good experience with the Nissan dealer in Salem. We liked the styling and color (light blue) of the vehicle. Very good vehicle for the traveling family :)

  • Made to Ride - 2003 Nissan Pathfinder

I think Nissan Pathfinder 2001 is a great improvement. It has great horse- power, great torque, very good road handling, decent mileage, very cool pick up and its really made to ride. It all depends upon the drivers, depends upon how you take care of your car, how do you really treat your car and there are a lot of other factors which can take loads of problem in the vehicle. Me and My friend bought the same car - Nissan Pathfinder 2001 - all we could see was 240 horse power and great pick- up. I love driving it and I would and I have recommended so many people to buy NISSAN PATHFINDER cuz it ROCKS!!!

  • Great family car for a great price. - 2003 Nissan Pathfinder

We looked at _all_ of the SUVs. Compared looks, features, MPG, size, price, maneuverability and availability. Pathfinder beat out Envoy, Explorer, Grand Cherokee, Durango and Pilot as it had best mix of all of our criteria. Now that weve driven the truck for a week, we are not disappointed.

tested many suvs in this class but Pathfinder diffinetly won out. It has titlt rear seats, great power, nice lines. Only wish it had 4 wheel discs all the way around. Nissan also discounted a full package that was quite acceptable along with a great loan. My other vechile by the way is a 2001 Maxima. Neither has given any trbl. to date.
