  • Most Excellent Ride - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

What can I say it has style grace and turn heads.. But...it loves only the best gas and needs more horses. I Love IT.

  • Very Happy - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

Overall very happy. Bought with 120K & have put 8k in three months. Very solid car even with the high milage. I drove a 97 explorer with this kind of milage & it was falling apart. This nissan is still tight. Power is very good although the engine can get loud under hard acceleration. Ride is a bit bouncy but not too bad. Love the truck!

  • Oustanding SUV!!! - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder
    By -

I owned a Ford Explorer a couple of years ago and thought "if this is what SUVs are like, I dont want one", but after some prodding by my wife we started looking and found this one. It has been an absolute joy to drive. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

  • Good truck posing as car - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

Bought it used and have put 40000 miles on it in 5 years. Have had to replace struts, exhaust and ignition switch. Currently have a check engine light on for sensors in the block, probably will cost $1G. I like sitting up high and instruments easily reachable. I also had that experience with the gas cap door, though mine is just out of alignment. Mileage is acceptable 18. Im getting some rust on the exterior of the step bar outside the doors, nowhere else. Will have to replace the timing belt shortly because I have 80000 on it now. I dont know if it is the tires but I get a humming at high speeds.

  • Smooth Vehicle - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

We really enjoy this SUV. It is not as powerful as others, but it has enough power. The build quality is unmatched by anything Ive ever owned, driven, or ridden in. Outstanding quality, better to drive than the brand new Trailblazer we test-drove. And we bought it with 49k miles. The interior is as nice as my parents Mercedes SUV. Not as many gadgets, but as well constructed. My dad owned a Bravada with the same amount of miles a couple of years ago, and there is no comparison in quality. The Pathfinder may cost a little more, but well worth it. A++

  • Fun, Fun, Fun - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

I did extensive research before I purchased this vehicle, but it sure paid off! I just love driving my pathfinder! I took a trip a trip in the winter from California to Arizona (1000 miles) just after I purchased it. I was comfortable for the entire ride. But most of all, I felt safe! Especially when cruising in the snow through the pass near Flagstaff, Arizona. During that portion of the trip, I saw 4 overturned SUVs in a 1 mile stretch. I just kept plugging along in 4WD with no problems. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone! I love it as much, if not more, than my Toyota 4x4.

  • Great SUV - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

Bought used in 2002 at 61k miles. It has been a pleasure to own, reliable, comfortable and fun to drive. Very smooth in the city and highway and you cant beat it in the snow. Go for the SE or LE for style, leather, heated seats, bose stereo. Gas mileage is typical for an SUV. Engine is improved in 1999.5. Struts replaced at 70k miles.

  • solid truck lacks a little power - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

I can handle a little less power for better MPG. I purchased an extended warrenty but it hasnt broken down. Its as solid as a rock! the ride, preformance, etc.

  • Reliability - 1999 Nissan Pathfinder
    By -

Got the car about midway through its life with 91K and it now has 117K. Has needed some work on brakes, rotors and exhaust in the few years Ive had it but the cars reliability and utility has more than made up for it. 4x4 is a blast in the snow or offroad, and when the seats fold down you can cram an immense amount of stuff inside it. The gas mileage is not great, but on the highway I can set the cruise for 65 or so at 2800 rpm and stretch it. Overall a great truck that will treat you well if youre well to it. Has never failed me once, even during blizzards in NJ.
