This Year's Model Updates:

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup sees several changes for 2010. The E-Class sedan has been redesigned -- highlights include revised styling, a higher-quality interior and a lower base price. Also, a new coupe body style (it replaces the previous CLK-Class) joins the roster. Lastly, the previously available wagon body style and diesel-fueled V6 engine option have been discontinued, but they are expected to return to the lineup at a later date.

Pros:
  • Superb ride and handling balance, potent engines, extensive array of luxury- and safety-oriented features, first-class cabin appointments, spacious interior.
Cons:
  • COMAND interface is occasionally fussy to use, controversial exterior styling.

  • Better Then All The Rest - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

The best car Ive been in. Amazing built quality, soft touch materials, nice stitching and wood grain. Easy to read gauges and command sysytem. The ambient lighting and sound system is flawless. Great on gas. Probably the best car to get wit all wheel drive. Quiet on the highways. Alittle bumpy on pot holes. But thats expected from a heavy sedan with beefy sport rims and low profile tires. Honestly this car beats every car in its catorgory. Very safe and comfortable. Mine is a 2010 E350 4-Matic with 55,000 miles. Have had No issues or complaints. Just one, the tire pressure monitoring system (tpms) is alittle fussy during the cold season due to the differences in tempature.

  • Update On My January Review - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

After driving my new E350 Sport Sedan for 5 months, I still aver that this is the best E Class Mercedes Benz they have ever manufactured. The voice activation system is truly remarkable. You must take the time to read through the owners manual to really appreciate how many functions are controllable through the voice mode. Navigation system is phenomenal - enhance traffic info from Sirius Radio is right on the money. Ride and handling superior to any previous E class model. The vehicle seems to ride more "heavily" even though the weight is about the same as the 2009. I have not had the car back to the dealer for "anything". No needed adjustments or fixes. GREAT VEHICLE!

  • Ticky tack - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Bought car and afterward had knee surgery. Only 250 mi Ive put on car, but, garage door opening buttons on rear view mirror receded and unit had to be replaced. Rained on way to dealer and had clicking/sticking noise from wipers; fix - they had been installed backwards. Have replaced air filters w/K&N; going on long trip and soon and hope to see improvement on gas mileage.

  • The best Ive owned - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Ive owned a bunch of different nice luxury cars over the years including a Cadillac CTS, 3 Series BMW, 5 older Mercedes Benz cars and when I was trying to figure out what to buy I compared the E Class to several others like the Acura TL, Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series. This car is by far the nicest Ive owned or driven. It is very stylish and even with the 3.5L V6 it gets up and goes!!!! The Paddle shifts make you feel like a race car driver when you are getting on the freeway. Mine has the Sports package and the P1 Package and it looks killer in black with the low profile 18" wheels. I get compliments on it from any one who sees it or rides in it. Great car!!! 44k Miles so far so good.

  • Wow! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I have had several Mercedes, Lexus and BMWs and this car really hits a bullseye! I was teetering between a new S550 and this car, and after driving the E550 with a P2 package I was sold. I couldnt justify the extra $35K for the S-class...the E does everything well and is a true drivers car. Feels like a sports car and seems to have a build quality and technology unlike any MBZ I have owned. It is built like a bank vault and has the technology you only saw the in the upscale Japanese cars prior to this. I wouldnt hesitate in the slightest to recommend this car to any true car lover!

  • Getting closer to perfect - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

The overall look of this vehicle and driving impressions are most favorable. The race to pack the cockpit with mostly useless distracting electronic features, however, is annoying to this driver and I would suggest redirecting that effort toward improving the weight to power ratio combined with better fuel mileage. Lastly, the Sports package , offered at no extra cost, provides a somewhat better ride and appearance profile---- but watch out for curbs and the like that tend to be higher than that ground spoiler!

  • Fantastic vechicle - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Just got it a week ago after driving E320 for seven years. It was a great car, but E-class 2010 is even better. Nice inside-out, great comfort, very good acceleration and handling. Highly recommend.

  • Great vehicle - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This is a great vehicle. Disclaimer: wife drives it during the week, I drive it on weekends when we go out together. Awesome vehicle, all around. Love driving it, handling is awesome. The exterior color is culprit brown: its beautiful - but its a color my wife picked. Interior is a beautiful shade of reddish brown.

  • New E350 Miles Ahead of the 2009 - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Ive owned a new Mercedes Benz every year for the past 4 years, and this one is "miles ahead" of the older models. The first thing that I noticed that was different was the ride and handling. This new E350 handles with outstanding agility. The ride seems a bit more refined than my 2009. The interior is far superior, especially the placement of the main screen for NAV and Radio, from lower front center to upper front center, making it easier for me to look at when driving. The interior is more comfortable, especially the seats. Visibility has improved as well. This is the best E Class sedan I have ever owned, and Ive owned 8 of them int he last 20 years.

  • Dream to drive, needs a few upgrades - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Have been driving my 2010 E-class for 3 months. Great car. Combines the best of a BMW and Lexis: sporty handling of a BMW but with the well designed, classy interior of a Lexis. Awesome, voice-activated computer system. Tell the car what you want it to do, and it does it. In fact, it does so much that it takes quite a bit of time to figure out how to use all the systems. Im still learning. A few shortcomings: leather seats, automatic trunk closing, push-button start, and air conditioned drivers seat should be standard. No eyeglass holder. Two real annoyances: drivers seat does not automatically push back when car is stopped, and car must be running for garage door opener to operate.
