This Year's Model Updates:

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class lineup sees several changes for 2010. The E-Class sedan has been redesigned -- highlights include revised styling, a higher-quality interior and a lower base price. Also, a new coupe body style (it replaces the previous CLK-Class) joins the roster. Lastly, the previously available wagon body style and diesel-fueled V6 engine option have been discontinued, but they are expected to return to the lineup at a later date.

Pros:
  • Superb ride and handling balance, potent engines, extensive array of luxury- and safety-oriented features, first-class cabin appointments, spacious interior.
Cons:
  • COMAND interface is occasionally fussy to use, controversial exterior styling.

  • The Bomb - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Smooth drive with excellent acceleration. I have a corvette. The E550 acceleration is compatible, especially after 50 mph. Interior larger than expected. Sleek exterior has heads turning. Unbelievable price. So far very satisfied. Why get a C when you have an E. Its bigger. S class ay over priced. Dont expect this pricing to last long

  • Great car, fun to drive! - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Bought the E350 coupe black on black and love it! Only had it two weeks so far an no major gripes or issues. I was nervous hearing and reading about build quality issues and while only having the car two weeks the jury is still out but no problems whatsoever thus far. Did a great deal of research prior to purchase and have no regrets other than trying to keep a black car clean and shiney. If you are interested in handling and performance look elsewhere. This is a cruiser. My other car is a late model Corvette and while the Benz is still in the break in period, I still downshifted and took a hairpin turn which squeeled the tires which would never happen on the Corvette.

  • Mechanical Mess - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

We have now had our new E350 sport sedan back at the dealer for the fourth time to fix a "SRS Malfunction" In total, the car has been in the shop about three weeks. Totally unacceptable and hardly what we expected from a MB.

  • A Really Sleek Touring Coupe - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This is my first Mercedes and overall, I am extremely pleased. I have owned 6 BMWs and most recently, an Infiniti G37 Coupe, all with manual transmissions, so this car with auto/paddle shifters was a leap. Before buying I looked at a BMW335 Coupe, another G37 Coupe and an Audi A5 Coupe. While the A5 design is great, it felt a little cramped inside especially since the sunroof doesnt slide open - weird. The E350 looks great, inside and out. Interior is spacious and the panoramic sunroof adds to that. Road and highway handling are excellent, but it could use a bit more power and some muffler resonance. Overall, its a Grand Touring Coupe that I am truly happy to drive.

  • Better than the SLK I traded in - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

I owned two SLKs and fully expected to purchase another hard top convertible or "maybe" a sporty coupe. After shopping all the luxury convertibles I started looking at the coupes. I narrowed it down to the Audi A5, Infiniti G37 Convertible and then I drove the new e class. What a change from my SLK. It has everything since I went for the premium two package. Just returned from a road trip to VT - extremely comfortable. Only problem - it cruises at high speeds and you dont feel it - great ride and handling. Love the adaptive xeon headlights, voice controls, awesome stereo with every capability. Panoramic roof with sun shades. ... Gas mileage was 26.5 over 500 miles combined.

  • Fun to Drive - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Great car to drive on trips or around town. Handling is great especially on curvy roads. Good to great fuel economy as the trip computer reads 26mph on highway. Engine has plenty of horses(V6).Every option on mine except leather. Seats are synthetic leather but are great looking and easy to clean.17k on odometer and inside looks like day I bought it.

  • Coupe de Grace - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

An outstanding looking car thats solid, sporty and fun to drive on the open road. The 350 v-6 is a little underpowered when accelerating, especially compared to my previous ride.....a BMW 335i ( 300hp, twin turbo) This car feels larger and more solid, and safer than the bimmer though, and its exterior design is sleeker and more attractive to my taste. Give Mercedes a lot of credit for upgrading its design and updating the technology in the E-class while reducing the MSRP by $5,000. This is an extremely good value in its class. My odometer just turned 1,000 miles and Ive averaged 22.4 mpg overall.

  • Best Merc <$60K - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

The car is FAST. But its also solid and stately as well. I really like how it handles and although the ergonomics took some time to get used to I am very happy with the layout of the interior. The seats are quite comfortable with the bolsters (comes with the appearance package) and the integration of the phone/ipod etc is quick and easy. The cupholders are perfect. The back seat has enough room for a short trip for people over 58" and a long trip for people under 58". I would say 60" is the limit in the back seat. The trunk is roomy for a coupe! The car looks really good in person (better than the pictures). Prepare to spend a lot for gas though, I am avg 15.9 MPG.

  • Exellent bang for the buck - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

When comparing the E550 against the S class, cadillac CTV, the BMW 5 and Lexus 460 this model by far is the best of the bunch. The interior alone beats all. The premium II package is a must. The ride is excellent and the interior noise is very very low. It handles extremely well for a sedan and braking has very little fade. Exterior styling is elegant and the Sedan model with the hood ornament steels the show. Quality is fantastic. The engine/horsepower/torque and 7 speed transmission is phenomenal. Disengage the traction control and take off when the light changes...yeah, its that fast!

  • Stunning - 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car is good all around. More then enough power to rival the 5M and B7 Alphina but not quite up to par with the pannera.
