This Year's Model Updates:

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class receives numerous styling changes, including a streamlined front end. There are also interior tweaks, a new suite of safety technologies and an auto stop-start system. On the diesel front, the four-cylinder E250 Bluetec sedan replaces last year's V6-powered E350 Bluetec. Finally, a more powerful E63 AMG now features standard all-wheel drive and an available S-Model package with more power still.

Pros:
  • Strong V8 engines
  • Smooth and efficient four-cylinder diesel
  • Superb ride
  • Extensive safety features.
  • Wide variety of body styles
Cons:
  • Less involving to drive than many rivals despite potent engine lineup.

  • Value tanked - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Bought my E 350 new in July 2014. The car stickered at $61,250. Went to trade it in on another MB product in September 2015 and the dealership would only give me $37,500! Car was in perfect condition with only 8,000 miles. I would call this terrible depreciation. If you buy a new MB plan on keeping it for a LONG time.

The Mercedes E350 convert is brand new for 2014 - a redesign, and well worth it. The interior is just sick....The Premium 1 Package anlong with the Sport Package are a must have with this car. The AMG wheels, wood and leather steering, Keyless Go options are a must. The Harman/Kardon Logic 7 stereo system, Navi & Rear Camera com[plete the driver experience. Bought it for my wife, and happy wife = happy Life - Sticker @ $68,945 - out the door in September $60,842 - wow

  • Impressions after 3 months - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

E550 coupe beautiful to look at and super light on its feet. Sleek and such a head turner Ive only seen one other in my large city in 3 months. What I dont like- I hate the Eco mode and that it cant be turned off permanently. Its smooth as silk when riding in comfort mode- you hardly notice it but if you are like me and like to drive it in sports mode you wont be happy. Its a obvious feeling/ sound. I now just turn it off nearly every start because I mainly drive I. The city and its just annoying to have it power down each stop. Internet radio is a waste- it takes like 5 min to get a signal and forget changing the Chanel it has to reload all over again.

  • BEST DESIGNED AND BUILT E 350 SPORT SEDAN TO DATE - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

I just purchased my 2014 Mercedes Sport Sedan. The new design of the front grille-work, rear quarter panels and rear end are a marked improvement over the 2010-2013 models. The vehicle handles and corners beautifully and the ride seems more solid and smoother than previous models, all of which I have owned. The newly designed dashboard, instrument cluster and NAV screen are truly rich and stunning. They have included ECON start/stop for improved city fuel economy. It cuts the engine when the car comes to a complete stop and your foot is on the brake. Once you remove your foot from the brake, the engine automatically restarts. This feature can be disabled, if desired, by button.

  • Awesome Driving Abilities and High Quality - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

This car handles so well, it hugs curves and feels like its gripping the road. It fun to drive and very comfortable. Ive never owned a Mercedes before and I am thrilled with my new purchase. The interior is comfortable and is made of all quality materials. It looks and feels luxurious and I feel very safe in the car. The navigation is good but its not as good as my phone navigation. I can just type in a place and then click directions on my phone. On the nav in the car I need to go to POI (points of interest) and then find the place and/or know the address so its a bit more complicated than my phone. But once its in the car I can save it and go right to it next time so thats a plus. The car is just beautiful inside and out. Sleek lines and curves right where they should be. I love the side mirror "warning" lane change feature (or blind spot feature). If a car is next to me there is a small red light on my mirror, when the car moves out of my blind spot the red light turns yellow. It will beep if I try to make a lane change with someone too close to my blind spot. Its a very cool feature that I love. The rear view camera is also very nice and Im getting used to using it. Of course I still look back and check my mirrors as well but its quite helpful. I cant say enough about this car, Im in love!

  • Regular Electronic Issues - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Bought a 2014 e350 convertible with 11,000 miles on it. It was a MB certified pre-owned car. Fun to drive; problem was the drivers side window would not fully close. After four trips to the dealership in 4 weeks, the window would not still not consistently close. Hard to own a car you cant drive in the rain. The dealership was great - they tried the specified MB repair four times but it would not hold. The dealership took the car back with no hassle. MB was not good (: I spent $1,500 on prepaid maintenance that they would not return. Didnt matter that the car could not be used as a regular driver. You should be ashamed MB. My next convertible will be another BMW.

  • New to MB, no longer a Caddy fan. - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Ive had this 2014 E350 luxury wagon for about a month. It has 12,000 miles on it, and looks like new. Being as old as dirt, I wanted something comfortable. I have been driving Cadillacs for the last 30 years, but traded in a Cadillac XTS, which is the last Caddy I will ever buy. I hated the touch screen, which required looking down and precise finger placement. This is my first MB, and comes with comfort package and lots of other features in the 4Matic version. I needed a long trunk space for hobbies so my choices were few. I was surprised that this wagon is not longer than the 4-door sedan, and was very similar in weight and dimensions to the XTS. It is also noticeably quieter! Although it needs premium gas, it does several mpg better, is more nimble and seems to have smaller turning circle. LIKES: Mouse controlled non-touch screen with good resolution. ECO mode shuts off engine when stopped as long as foot on brake. HOLD mode even allows you to take foot off brake, and restarts engine only when you hit gas. Rear seats fold almost flat with no gap or step where they meet the trunk floor. Seats are very comfortable and have good range of adjustment. I like the way the inside temp. is permanently displayed each side just above the setting up/down switch. DISLIKES: I miss not having real-time speed limit display. The back-up camera is great but I cant see the back-up warning red LED bar on the ceiling in the rear view mirror.(Why have it at all if it is positioned so stupidly.) It was just about the only vehicle within 1000 miles that met all my requirements and even the color (gun-metal gray, with white interior) was acceptable. UPDATE: After 12mths Im still just as pleased. I wish I had gone over to MB in the 90s when Caddys went to hell!

  • Wagon Bliss - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Purchased this vehicle on July 30, 2014 and it now has 3,500 miles on the odometer. Ive been driving high-end European vehicles for over 40 years, a number of which have been MB products, and this is the first time I have not had one occasion to return to the dealer for an adjustment or problem with the car. The vehicle came loaded and it took a few drives to acclimatize to all the systems, particularly the advanced driving system. After more than 3 months of ownership I can say, without hesitation, this is one of the finest automobiles I have driven.

  • Ongoing safety issues with my 2014 E63S - 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
    By -

Real safety issue unresolved after 6 months and 6000 miles. My wife and son will no longer get in the car, forget about them driving it. Wild/out of control bucking when accelerating after cold start. May be limited to this specific car/vin. I am trying to resolve with MBUSA and my dealer - frankly I dont trust the car anymore
