For 2004, the E-Class wagon benefits from the same full redesign the sedan received last year. A V8-powered version of the wagon is available this year and the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system is optional on both sedans and wagons. Finally, the DVD-based navigation system, which was delayed for 2003, is on the options list this year.

  Never had a Benz before, but now would probably not buy anything else again. A finely built, with quality and engineering through and through.

  The air conditioner continues giving out foul, sour, acidic smell even after 2 heater core replaced, 2 complete cleaning. The manufacturer call center confirmed its a known issue. Transmission adapter failed once and is now leaking agin. Independent service center called it a fire hazard. Does anyone experience the same as I do with this car, please let me know. I really appreciate it.

  Oustanding torque for a staid appearing sedan. Has all of the bells and whistles inside and a tiger under the hood. Good cornering as well

  It is the best Mercedes Ive ever owned, except for my ML500 Insiration, but thats an SUV. I love all the rich woods inside,and the climate controlled seats, perfect for those cold winter trips.

  As a performance enthusist, I was totally lost since my corvette days. Having a family with kids made 2 seaters impractical. I saw a write up on this car in a magazine and ordered it the next day. First one in the state I believe. The car is Platinum blue which the women love. Anyway, horsepower and torque make this the sweetest car Ive ever driven. Getting onto the highway is a blast. This car pulls so strong, Im wondering how I dont break something. The brakes have been noted as quirky, but to me they work great. This is, to me, the best family sedan made for us babyboomers who must have seating for four or five, and want to relive our youth.

  This is an amazing car. Consistently returns 30 mpg, while delivering great performance, safety, and comfort. The trunk is huge - our family of four has taken 2 vacations in it with no problems. Traded in a big SUV for it, a little worried about the downsizing. We have had absolutely no problems - this car is a perfect size for a family.
