Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the E-Class wagon benefits from the same full redesign the sedan received last year. A V8-powered version of the wagon is available this year and the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system is optional on both sedans and wagons. Finally, the DVD-based navigation system, which was delayed for 2003, is on the options list this year.
- Sleek and dignified design inside and out, pleasing blend of ride and handling, sophisticated safety features, all-wheel drive available on both sedans and wagons.
- More expensive than competitors, confusing control layout, brakes lack progressive feel.

E-320 - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By rmmakhene - September 26 - 10:00 amI have had my E-320 since December, 2002 and I can say unequivocally that it is the best car I have ever owned (previous car was an Acura Legend). The performance is good for a 6- cylinder. Comfort is excellent. Have not had any problems with engine, transmission, electrical, etc. My only complaint is that the rain- sensing wipers are not always accurate and I find myself frequently having to either turn them on or off completely. Standard, manual intermittent wipers would have been better in my opinion. Other than I would recommend it highly to any prospective buyer.

Almost more than you can handle - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By porschec4s - August 14 - 10:00 amThis was one of the first in the country last May and have since put 12000 miles on it. No mechanical issues. The biggest issue was coming to grips with how much power was on tap. It was College ball to the Pros. Things happen that much faster. MB has done a great job providing power at any RPM. It is lightning, subdued and can lull you into complacency. Coming from Porsche after 10 years I was concerned but MB has provded an every day supercar that will stay with anything on the road has all of the luxury of an S class and is only $85k. On a negative note, as a perfectionist, against Continental tires, for 19 in wheels and improved braking.

The best Ive ever owned - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By gmac72 - July 3 - 10:00 amThe E 320 is by far the best auto I have ever owned. Stylish fun to drive and even more importantly dependable. This car has not had a problem since day one. I am also getting over 20 miles to the gallon 22 to be exact which considering the cars performance is great!

I love it... - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By oakccor - June 27 - 10:00 amI traded in a SLK 32 AMG for this car. I was worried that I would have speed withdraw with this new car. To my suprise this car is still very fast. Engine is very strong all the way through the powerband. I believe its more powerful than the manufacturer claims. I love this car.

Pure class... - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Cheddars - June 27 - 10:00 amOozes class...great feel..a precision swiss timepiece on wheels. I have the Sport model...its worth the extra money...everything you want in a vehicle...reliability and dealership have been great...E500 is quicker than my E320, but what I lose in a little speed I make up for at the pump with better MPG

MY NEW MERCEDES - 2004 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By suznred - May 26 - 2:00 amI am very happy with my new E-320 4matic sedan. I love the premium features that I added to the car, but it would have been nice if more of these features were included in the base price. Adding the many extra options definitely increases the purchase price. However, considering the safety of this vehicle and the overall quality and my initial driving experience, I would highly rate this vehicle.
