For 2004, the E-Class wagon benefits from the same full redesign the sedan received last year. A V8-powered version of the wagon is available this year and the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system is optional on both sedans and wagons. Finally, the DVD-based navigation system, which was delayed for 2003, is on the options list this year.

  Have only had it for 2 months -- less than 1000 miles. Superb quailty. Quietest car Ive ever owned. Gorgeous interior. Peppy acceleration. Sporty and sleek exterior. No problems so far.. Some people have complained about the "hard to modulate" brakes, but I havnt had any trouble using them. And the brakes are quite strong.

  This is my 3rd E320. I bought the first one to hit the dealers floor in Oct. 1993. Bought a 2000 in Oct. 1999 and now own a new 2004. I looked at other cars but have not yet found one that tops this model. The ladies that bought my 1994 and my 2000 are still enjoying the cars. Have a waiting list already of friends who want my 2004. Handles like a dream, makes perfect responses to driving emergencies, always feel very safe and under control. Great car.

  Outstanding car, poor creature comforts or bad design. Excellent performance is one thing but overall is another. May not repurchase in2-3 years.

  I just got a E-500 sport. Previously had 3 S430s. Overall combination of looks, styling and performance hard to beat. Fun car to drive. Every car has compromises based on critea a driver is looking for. WHAT A COMPROMISE!

  Owning a Mercedes Benz E-Class is an extraordinary experience! This car handles like no other car I have ever owned! The standard features alone are uncomparable to most other vehicles. The quickness of the V-8 is truly incredible. This car is a must buy!

  I have a 1992 300E and 2004 E320 both are black int and black ext. The 2004 has better technology and power (of course). As far as quality and ride, I like the 1992 better. My 1992 has better handling ad better quality material. So far I encounter 1 minor problem. The Nav system had problem reading the DVD. After driving for 30 min, and turn off/on the car again. The problem went away. I am glad to hold out for 2004 model instead of previous model (1996-2002). The previous model got ugly tail light (personal experience).

  In my short 48 years I have owned over 25 cars. I guess you could call it the search for the "Holy Grail" of cars. Four months ago I finally found it, the MBZ E-500. Power, comfort and style all wrapped into one. This car is incredable. It is like a sports car and luxury car rolled into one. Somehow mbz found a way to make a car that is exciting to drive and confortable at same time. I drive over 200 miles per day and for the first time I look forward to the drive. The one negative is the fact I know longer enjoy reading the sunday morning car ads. Everything else pales in comparision. Oh well.

  This car has it all! Style, power, comfort and best of all its a Mercedes. I drove the BMW 5 series before buying this car and they honestly dont compare. After driving this car I know I will be a Mercedes owner for life! Even the fuel economy on this car is great. I have 13000 miles on mine and have not had one problem. I reccommend this car to anyone looking for a stylish dependable fun to drive car. Its the BEST>
