Overview & Reviews
Mazda has strengthened the Millenia's body structure to improve torsional rigidity 30 percent. Combined with a new rear stabilizer bar and a larger front stabilizer bar, improved handling is the result. Visually, the car should be more appealing thanks to new front and rear styling. The interior has been updated significantly, as well. Hardware changes include larger disc brakes, a revised ABS system and standard side airbags for both models.
- Improved exterior styling and interior design, supercharged Millenia S engine, competitive price.
- Cramped interior, no navigation system available, aging platform.

Zoom Zoom - 2001 Mazda Millenia
By JPC - November 24 - 8:46 amOverall a great vehicle. This is our 4th Mazda and we are very happy. This one replaced a car that was totaled in a wreck. That Millenia was a 2000 and even though the car was a total wreck, my wife and 2 year old daughter came away without a scratch. The front end was crushed but the passenger compartment was solid and stable. The car has excellent pick up and good steering. We love the style and ride.

Understated luxury - 2001 Mazda Millenia
By zoom!zoom! - June 6 - 10:00 amPrice + luxury design and materials make this automobile worthwhile. Beautiful aesthetics and long list of features make me laugh when I see others spending 50% more on another luxury vehicle for the brand name. Go out a drive one and do the math - youll be smart, saved a ton of bank, and riding in pure luxury...

Millenia Strong performance/price ration - 2001 Mazda Millenia
By MilleniaSowner - May 1 - 2:00 amThe Mazda Millenia offers excellent value for the price. It is comfortable, handles well and has good acceleration. The Miller S engine is very smooth with good top end power. The interior is well designed with easy to read guages and all controls within a comfortable distance to the driver. The seats are a little low but still comfortable even on long trips. Mazda could have designed the interior with more wood grain and higher quality leather to better compare to other luxury cars like Lexus or BMW. Overall I am extremely happy and enjoy the Millenia very much. I have not had one mechanical or quality issue.

Truly unique Vehicle - 2001 Mazda Millenia
By Brook Landon - April 29 - 3:36 pmIve owned my Mazda Millenia for about 5 years now. I bought it almost new with 11K miles. Now with 107K miles, my Milly is still going strong with only routine checkups, and the occasionally wear and tear maintenance that needed to be tended to. I love the color of my car, Sand mica with Oak interior, beautiful faux wood in-lay on center console. Up too this day I still get compliments on my vehicle. I also love the fact that you barely see them on the highway, so when people do see them, its sort of an exclusive feeling of reaction. Mazda did an fantastic job on this exterior; fit and finish superb, oozes quality, too perfect detail.

Dead on quality, value, and luxury - 2001 Mazda Millenia
By w4vic - November 4 - 10:00 amTypical high quality Japanese fit and finish, powered everything, no cheap materials. Excellent safety features - 4 air bags! Long list of standard items that make this car above and beyond awesome value. The suspension is not harsh, but reacts very well on simple maneuvers. Imagine something between an Accord and a Lincoln Town Car. The Premium 170HP does what its asked - its not tuned for tearing out, so its quite competent for non-lead foot driving.
