This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Mazda 3 sees a number of changes. Although these include a minor exterior refresh involving mainly the taillights, most are more functional. Now standard on all Mazda 3s are a tire-pressure monitor, an auxiliary input jack for the stereo, a rear-seat center armrest and an additional power point in the console. A stability control system becomes available on the Touring and Grand Touring trims.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling, refined engines, strong brakes, sharp styling, top-notch build and materials quality, hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Top safety equipment either optional or on higher trims, tight rear legroom, so-so fuel economy with 2.3-liter engine.

  • Nice little unit - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Fun to drive. It has a lot of nice little "luxury" items standard in this model. I am 64" and my wife is 53" and we both can fit, though when I am driving my right leg is a little tight against the console. The passenger side is very comfortable. Only real complaint is there is a LOT of road noise, tires and wind are a lot louder than I was expecting

Great driving machine but hard to find a manual. 07 Civic and 07 Corolla have nowhere near the road manners and performance of this one. Smooth and quiet ride but with excellent feel of the road. Acceleration is quite spirited and the quiet cabin belies the speed you are driving at. Braking is amazing! Only car with stability control at this price level. In mixed driving around Seattle I get 400 miles per tank. The hatch has ample cargo volume for hauling. Very easy to attach baby seats with the latch system. Driving at night, with the fog lights on, is a pleasure for tired eyes. The illuminated buttons (audio and cruise) on the steering wheel take a bit of getting used to.

I bought a black GT Mazda3 and it sure looks beautiful. The packages included in it like the bose and moonroof make it really worth the price. The interior with leather looks very slick. I get 27-28 mpg. Overall it is a good choice for a cost effective sedan with features. No other car will give you traction control and stability control at this price.

  • All around great car - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

My wife got one of these as a loaner when her 06 Jetta TDI died, after driving it for a week, I loved it so much I went out and bought one for myself. It has excellent space, Im 6 tall, and can sit in the backseat after Ive adjusted the front to where Im comfortable. The hatch is a wonder of engineering how it can be reconfigured with all the compartments, and it is big enough for everything I can throw at it. I love the seat fabric, its comfortable, tough and cleans up well, and best of all, this car is FUN to drive! It handles great, and the ride is sporty without beating me up. Honestly, I love it more every time I get in it.

I just bought this car and I love it. This is the first 4 door car I have owned and it is very comfortable. Fun to drive. I love the style and sporty look of this car. I want to drive it all the time. There are some very nice features that make this car a great purchase. It has a luxury feel at a very affordable price. It has a lot of room considering that it looks small from the outside. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a sporty 4 door car.

  • Im as happy as can be! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I searched and read reviews and hunted for a car for over a month. I went to Honda, went to VW, looked at Nissans and Toyotas, and its all by chance I got the Mazda. And boy has it been a blessing and just a treat to own. Phantom Blue Mica and the only one of the few. Just a gorgeous car. Smooth on the road, and living in NYC I have to deal with the constant potholes, but in this car they feel like a hump in the road and nothing more. Gas mileage is amazing, at 950 miles and have filled the tank 3 times. On the highway the gas mileage is amazing, around the city it seems to fall off a bit. Just a fun car to drive. And it can move too.

  • I Love My 3 GT Hatch! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I debated for over a year before I finally bought one and I couldnt be happier. I bought it in November, but only started driving it regularly after selling my old car about 2 months ago. So far, its been a great little car. Its an Aurora Blue GT loaded with Bose, moonroof, 6CD, 5-spd AT, and Homelink autodim mirror. I so look forward to driving my car, even though gas prices are outrageous.

If BMW built a compact car this would be it, handling, design, interior all are great for the price. No problems thus far and when pushed to limit corners like a sports car.

  • 100,000 Miles - Great Car - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Weve put 100,000 miles on this car. The struts are just now needing to be replaced. Other than that, we have simply changed fluids and replaced tires on this car. The original brake pads are still on it. For a $16,000 car, this was a bargain. It does everything a cheap car should do, plus some. The suspension is well-tuned and the steering doesnt feel dead in the drivers hands. It isnt a racecar by any means, but it is a drivers car that lets you know how the tires are working while you are driving. Gas mileage often over 30 in mixed driving. Ill keep buying from Mazda after this experience.

  • The new Mazda3 is great! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I have only had my car now for 5 days and I am in love. It is always the nicest car in the parking lot when I am leaving my college. It is so smooth to drive and the automatic is fantastic with the option to put it in manual drive! I dont like all the red color for the radio but besides that it is everything I hoped for. It is not that roomy in the back but I dont care much because I rarely have people sitting back there anyways. The only worry I have is the cloth material they have for the seating. I saw a 2006 used Mazda whose seat fabric was coming apart because of the type of material it is. I just filled up my tank and I only got about 27.6 miles to the gallon which is a bummer.
