This Year's Model Updates:

The 2007 Mazda 3 sees a number of changes. Although these include a minor exterior refresh involving mainly the taillights, most are more functional. Now standard on all Mazda 3s are a tire-pressure monitor, an auxiliary input jack for the stereo, a rear-seat center armrest and an additional power point in the console. A stability control system becomes available on the Touring and Grand Touring trims.

Pros:
  • Athletic handling, refined engines, strong brakes, sharp styling, top-notch build and materials quality, hatchback utility.
Cons:
  • Top safety equipment either optional or on higher trims, tight rear legroom, so-so fuel economy with 2.3-liter engine.

  • Perfect Car - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I got this car about 6 weeks ago and I couldnt imagine being happier with any other car. It gets good gas mileage, great handling and is still very comfortable. Im a busy student who works as well and I make frequent longer trips from LA on the weekends. Its great for just going around town and cruising down the freeway. The interior is well designed with everything in reaching distance. I love this car!

Drove a Mazda3 two years ago and my wife and I were blown away at the performance for the money. Our 14 year old Protege finally died and we considered the Rabbit and Mercury Milan. Drove the 3 again, and were struck again at the strong handling, decent torque, nice design, and safety features. This thing really handles well for an inexpensive front wheel drive car. If you dont want to spend the money for a 3 series, G Sedan, or even a Jetta GLI, the 3 provides a great fix. We took the sunroof package and the striking Phantom Blue color--which looks nothing like the web photo. Hopefully it will age well, because were keepin this baby!

  • The wow in zoom!! - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

When I started to research this car, I had no idea how awesome this car was. It looks like a very, very expensive car a la Lexus or BMW. I get wows all the time, and when my friends and family looked at the interior they where all impressed. This car really zooms, and looks great doing it. If you want a car that looks and feels very luxurious, than this is the car!

There is no better car than a Mazda3 in this class. I look forward to driving mine every day. Its great on gas, has a great audio system, and definite curb appeal. I recommend this car to anyone whos searching for quality, economy, safety and fun. Youre doing yourself a disservice if you dont at least drive one of these before making a purchase.

  • Zippy but sippy - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

Have only owned for a short time. Love the handling and fun factor like other reviewers. Also dont like the fuel economy like others. I have owned an 04 Acura TL (270 hp and heavier) and an 07 Sonata (235 hp 6) and both of those average 28 mpg just like Im getting with the Mazda. Doesnt make sense to me. I dont drive it hard and I have just a small amount of stop and go. Im going to switch to synthentic oil and Im hoping it improves after break in.

  • I LOVE MY MAZDA 3 - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

I love driving my Mazda. I originally was not even interested in this car. I test drove it a first time but after test- driving it a second time, I fell in love with it. Now I cannot wait to drive anywhere! I always want to drive if I have the option. It accelerates fast for a small-engine car. Sometimes I feel like a racecar driver behind the wheel. I am still in college and everyone always compliments me on how smooth the ride is and how nice of a car I own. :)

This is the second Mazda3 I have owned. My first, a 2005 Mazda3 s, was totalled in September. I knew I would not own anything other than another 3! When we went looking I found another one, only this one is an s Grand Touring Sedan in Aurora Blue Mica. I love this one as much, if not more, than the first. Great ride, sporty, and more car for the money than many others out there. I look for excuses to get out and drive my car!

  • Excellent value - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

This is by far the best car in its price range. It feels like a car costing several $K more. No comparison with so-called competitors like Corolla, Cobalt, Caliber, etc. (Maybe a Civic comes close.) The Mazda3 just does not feel like a small car. The 2.0 engine is more than adequate, reasonably quiet and zippy. I saw no reason to go the 2.3 for extra dollars. Handling is great, goes where you tell it to go. Brakes inspire confidence. Basic stereo is quite good. (I wanted the upgrade, but would have to have taken moonroof and other gimmicks.) Styling is fabulous, sporty but not too much so. Mileage is as advertised, but certainly no better.

  • Great Car - 2007 Mazda Mazda3

With the kids all grown, I no longer needed a midsized car for 95% of I need a car for. The 3 seems just the right size and is a lot of fun to drive. I like the go-cart feel, and I really like the steering and suspension feel and sound on this car.

So far the car has been wonderful. Handling is magnificent, very little body lean, the car sticks right to the road in cornering. The traction control is great in the rain on wet roads. Road noise is a little loud compared to other cars Ive had, especially on the highways, but not a major problem for me. Overall, I think its a fun little car to drive. So far, its a keeper.
