Overview & Reviews
Although it maintains much of its chassis architecture, the 2010 Mazda 3 is otherwise an all-new car. Highlights include revised exterior styling, improved fuel economy and power, a more modern interior design and new luxury-oriented features.
- Athletic handling and performance, high-end interior, unparalleled available luxury features, available hatchback utility.
- Ride may be too firm for some, interior and trunk not as large as those of competitors.

I love my Hatchie! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Wrathwitch - December 18 - 5:40 amThis little beast is fun to drive! I was previously driving a SUV and its nice to drive a zippy, responsive and sexy vehicle. No more soccer mom for me I have upgraded to Cougar! In all seriousness this car has the speed to pass fast and safe as well as smooth and quiet when you are not dare deviling. The only thing I dont like is that the vehicle feels floaty at higher speeds (130+ km/h). I suspect this being due to lightness of the vehicle. You can also feel her move when there are high winds on the road.

Great bang for the buck - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Steve Breen - December 16 - 10:50 pmIve been a pickup truck guy for years as my daily drivers. My need for a pickup has declined in recent years, and I was getting weary of constantly putting gas in the thing. So, I began researching cars that were: 1) Cheap to own and operate 2) Fun to drive 3) good features and finally 4) great value. Well, this car actually exceeds across the board. I looked at the usual suspects in this group, and nothing has the personality and depth of features that this little Mazda has. I actually look forward to driving now, as this thing is a blast to drive. For as little as it costs, it just seems like a steal!

30K mile UPDATE- - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By diehard080 - December 1 - 2:02 amI have revirewed my 2008 versus this 2010 and already have concluded it just that much better. I will focus on the passing of time, servicing and performance continuity. I replaced the Avid-Yokos which I found on the harsh side like the previous 08-09 suspension set-ups but slightly more ameinable to all-around driving with a bias towards all-out sports car tuned firmness. I installed Bridestones new Pole Position S-04s and even though the overall tire is heavier at 70-90mph this car is silent and super-stable at 85 Im turning 2900 rpms and its not even breathing hard -this damn 2.5 wants to be ridden to 120+ and sprout wings. Everyting else is tight and right ! Just oil/filter and gas .

My 10th Mazda - and still no regrets! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Anonymous - November 19 - 2:00 amPurchased my 5-Door GT after a 10 year hiatus from Mazda during which I have owned 4 BMWs, including 3 3-series and a Z4. Terrible experience with the latest 3-series so went back to Mazda and I love this car! It is a little noisy on the highway but nothing the amazing sound system doesnt solve. Loose stabilizer bar in rear at 3000 miles was fixed quickly and the car is amazing again! Love the looks, love the performance, love all the features! Nothing from Toyota or Honda even comes close! And my BMW is barely keeping up anymore - cant wait to trade the BMW in for a Mazda 6! Lost my pearl white 3 especially now that Ive added a bike rack to the roof! Love this car!

Love the Smile - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Anonymous - November 19 - 2:00 amIve only had my Mazda 3 sport for a little over 1 week, but so far I love to drive this car. I try to think of places I need to go just to get in and go somewhere. The bose system is awesome, such clarity. I owed a 2001 Maxima so Im having to adjust to the stiff ride of the Mazda but hopefully I will get there. I read some reveiws about road noise on another site I dont hear it, I do hear the engine a little but thats fine. If you want a compact sedan or hatchback you must drive the Mazda 3 the handling and the power this little car puts out will amaze you.

Mazda not Honda - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By JDL - November 17 - 1:50 pmI was at Norm Reeves Honda of Cerritos ready to buy a honda Civic LX Auto. They quoted me a price over the phone of $17,900 OTD. drove 35 miles to dealer, picked out color and they ran my credit. The whole time i kept asking is the price $17,900 OTD. Everything went well until they took the price to the boss for the ok. he would not sell me the car for that price, THANK GOD. Two days later i went to Browning Mazda and drove the Mazda 3 Hatchback Auto. I love this car. Tyler at browning Mazda was great. I got the car OTD for $21,000. Buy this car, you will not be disappointed.

Exhilarating ride, impeccable design - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Mike - October 15 - 7:06 amI compared the Mazda3 hatch to the Subaru Impreza Outback Sport, Toyota Matrix and Honda Fit. My wife has a Fit and loves it. But for me, I needed something sportier with better pickup and a little more style. The Matrix was too pricey and bland and the Subarus style didnt impress me. For only a grand more than the Fit, I got a Mazda3 with everything I could ever ask for. Granted, I did sacrifice fuel economy (my wifes Fit averages 38 mpg, but Ill be lucky if I can get 28 out of my 3). However, the 3s engine is monstrously powerful, making it an absolute joy to drive. It has a tight turning radius, is a pleasure to drive and I dont notice any excessive road noise. Highly recommended!

keeps on ticking - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By diehard080 - October 14 - 11:45 pmi am updating my last review at 50k miles and just rolled over 75k . o regularly change the oil using mobil 1 20-50 as original was dino which i used until 2 changes at about 10 k miles as it was good and broken in. since ive chenged the trans fluid at 30k (flush) and 60(flush again) and the plugs once around 45.i hit some nasty potholes but the suspension seems spot on having thorough checks after any incident .I check oil level particularly after oil changes which is usually a big problem since residual oil can be up to 3/4 q and bad for seals . other than that not burning oil, runs better than new and fast as hell . preventative maint.dont use dealers that act like they could give a sheit

No Regrets! - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By MikeyMike - October 14 - 10:00 amI havent had one regret on this purchase since day 1. Ive owned 7 cars and excluding my 1970 Triumph, this is the most fun car Ive ever driven. The handling, comfort and features all fit my driving style perfectly. I can take off-ramps at speeds that scare my wife, take off when I need to move quick, idle quietly at red lights, etc. Im not quite hitting the EPA mileage, but I drive hard and I get about 22-25 city depending on how rough I run it. Only quality issue I have is the cover to my GPS memory card on the dash broke and fell off on its own. They replaced it free, but annoying to deal with. And for those that dont like the "smile" grill, I love it!

Great car, great handling - 2010 Mazda Mazda3
By Kicking_cans - October 7 - 2:00 amLove this car! Accelerates fast, getting 31 mpg, corners great, and... handles accidents well! Plus, mine has push button start, awesome! Going to the gym, throw my keys in my gym bag, & leave them there. Push the button to start, while the bag is sitting on the front passenger seat! Ive driven the Dodge Challenger for a day trip; and performance wise, 3 big differences. Mazda gets better gas mileage, and corners better. The Challenger travels at 95 mph better. (At 65/70 MPH, theyre the same.) Oh, and I backed into another car, got a 3 inch dent in my bumper. But its plastic, so pushed/popped it out. Now looks like a light scratch on my bumper, instead of a huge dent!
