Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

Jeep is moving on up!! - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Wayne Daughtridge - June 12 - 2:20 amI have owned several jeeps over the years both Wranglers and Grand Cherokee. My GC has the 4.7 V8 motor, and I tow a 22 foot boat back and forth to the coast several times a year about 4 hours each way. I also pull a motorcyle trailer all over the southeast. My fuel mileage is just as good as the F250 Diesels. I average 13 to 14 miles per gallon. The jeep is strong and reliable even with 65,000 miles logged in.

2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By bendmacmfg - June 12 - 12:13 amIve owed my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude for only a week, but love it. Compared to my 2014 Toyota Tacoma which had nothing but trouble and was extremely noisy on the hwy, this Jeep GC is a dream to drive. Shifting is smooth and I love the styling inside and out. After reading some of the reviews I hoping for a trouble free experience, but theres problems in everything its how they are handled that makes the difference.

I HAVE BEEN SICK OF THIS THING! - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By smaillie - June 11 - 10:00 amNothing but TROUBLE since day one! In our 4th set of rotors. Fuel pump replaced a couple of times. New radiator this year. Spent over $3k in repairs in 03 and over $1k so far in 04. At 100k miles, things started falling apart with this piece of junk. Rear end overhauled and left rear bearing replaced 3 times. Constant wind noise on right side from 2nd month-vibrating weather stripping- "Cant replicate" says Mr. Dealer- cant fix what they cant hear!......

jeep Grand Cherokee limited - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By steve graham - June 11 - 10:00 amThis is my 3rd Jeep. 1995, 1999, 2004. I have never had a problem with any. The 2004 has surpassed all others before. I feel that it has a smooth ride, similar to a car but firmer, as it should be. I have a cadillac also, but seem to prefer the jeep more and more.

Going Strong - 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Long Time Owner - June 11 - 9:10 amI bought my V8 Laredo from the dealership with 17K miles and have almost 200K now. Drove it in Los Angeles for 2 + years then mostly in the mid-west, with frequent cross country trips. This car has held up superbly over time. The body and interior are still in excellent shape. There have been a few standard repairs over the years. The only real problem is the rear axle and bearings; they have had chronic problems since around 100K miles - they need to be rebuilt replaced about every 2+ years which can hurt the wallet. This car has been otherwise excellent in all driving conditions and weather. Very good car for long trips! Im shooting for 250K miles for sure.

Good and Bad - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By JBCJBC - June 10 - 2:00 amBest offroad vehicle. Great in snow. Best looking SUV out there. Reliability is well below average. Have replaced 1 computer, 3 sets of rotors, emergency brake, 1 window regulator. If you are going to buy one of these make sure you get the extended warrranty.

awesome car - 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By tenseven - June 9 - 5:10 amBought it in 1995, 30K miles, 2 years old. Now has 185,500 miles. Cannot find anything on the market, new or otherwise, with the seat comfort and the visibility out the side and rear windows. Minimal repairs along the way. Gas mileage still 15-16 in town, 20-21 on the road.
