Model Overview:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.

Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

  • 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee is Superb! - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I had my concerns about purchasing a new 2015 model after reading reviews about the 2014, but Im so glad I have the faith to move forward! Ive been driving my 2015 JGCherokee and its the most enjoyable vehicle Ive had in a long, long time. Please note that the on-board computer system does not work well with wi-fi, and youll have to leave any I phones wi-fi setting in the off position, otherwise, you will encounter some computer, Siri, volume not turning off-stuck etc. This freaked me out at first and thought the 2014 issues had not been resolved, but this was the culprit for me. Anyway, the car is a dream and I love it, love it, love it! Just wanted to write these details.

  • Looks Great! BUT ALWAYS IN THE MECHANICS - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Loved the car as soon as I saw. I even paid STICKER PRICE!!!! I thought it was worth every penny. Not even 1 week in the check engine comes on.... I have put in almost more than 4-5K in some normal maintenance but some that are just annoying... For one thing it never starts right, always cranks over and over! I am one that hates when ppl ride their brakes, so I know I dont but the brake pads go so fast. I had to replace the routers three times already. Now its starting to stall on me. I just put 1500 into about two weeks ago and now the radiator just went the other day while i was driving. I ONLY HAVE 75,000 Miles on it. over a 100k would make sense. Looking to just trade it in, with a loss.

  • 2007 Jeep Cherokee Needs to be Recalled - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I just purchased a 2007 Grand Jeep Cherokee in November 2009. I have taken it back to the CarMax three times for the same problem. Vehicle mysteriously will fail to accelerate while driving or delay in shifting gears. (Once, it happened to me when I was entering the highway from an on ramp. I was forced to put the hazards on and pray someone did not run into me.) CarMax said they fixed it when they replace the shift module, but it happened again. This time the vehicle slowed down and then just cut off. I dont feel safe driving this anymore. I could have been seriously injured or killed.

  • 2nd one 4 me - 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee

This is my second Jeep Grand Cherokee and I am very happy with it. Would not rate is as high as a Toyota Highlander but close. I have had no trouble with my Jeep. Had a 1988 model that ran forever, 188000 miles and the only, thing other than regular mx, was one fuel injector went bad, (I fixed) and the alternator went out at 175000 miles and I fixed it myself, too. I could use bigger cup holders and better fuel economy, 16-18 in town and 20-22 on the highway. This is where Toyota has Jeep beat hands down. Plus the Toyota has better power and acceleration. All in all for what I paid I got a really pretty vehicle that is fun to drive and is practical for me. Great radio controls!!!

  • ITS NO TOYOTA - 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

More quality is needed in the vendor parts dept. Brakes, head, radiator, grill; these are parts that had to be replaced at 25000 miles/3 years, along with new ignition switch.

  • Good vehicle for non-HWY drivers - 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Purchased it off the lot new and loved the style and design. This was my first SUV and although I was happy with many things, I COULDNT STAND the alternater "whine" in the vehicle. Had some "odd" problems with it and got nervous as it approached 60K miles.

  • Another Great Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

It is an all in one package for any man with luxury and outdoors in mind. Lots of horsepower and torque. Quadra-Trac II is exceptional and extremely responsive. I am dying to take it offroad, though.
