The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

  First year I had the car about 6 times back to the dealer. Changed shocks, alternator, battery, squeeky window, rear gear with a loud bang changed parts still scares my kids sometimes

  I now have 534 miles on my 2015 GC Overland and love it. The only thing I forgot to request when I ordered it was a CD player. I ordered my GC, exactly as what I wanted, from the dealer, and I thought a CD was a standard feature but it isnt and must be ordered separately. However the Satellite Radio more than compensates for it. With the SD slot that it has perhaps songs can be recorded and played through it. I am still checking that out. Otherwise I am very well satisfied with my Overland and it came to the dealer in less than a month and is EXACTLY as I ordered it.

  A real 4x4 vehicle - 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee

  This Jeep has exceeded all expectation. Its full time 4 wheel drive with Quadra Trac II transfer case The 4.7 V8 with full tow package oil and tras coolers make this Jeep a real workhorse. It has had minor problems considering I abuse this truck. It goes through mud, snow, climbs and forges water like its made for. Yes I have replaced the rotors 3xs but thats because of the inferior Asian steel that they are made of. replace with a set of slotted rotors & ceramic pads problem solved. Im running LT truck tires instead of the P passenger car tires it comes with. rides a little stiffer but a small sacrifice for towing and off road use. I did replace an axle bearing in the rear but at 100k!

  Excellent SUV! I have had very few issues with it. Has much better fit & finish then my last SUV (Blazer); also has better torque & control over the transfer case. Could use a little more power; I tow a 3000 lbs trailer a couple of times a year & it does ok. Ive taken it off road several times & have had no problems with anything I put in front of it. Will definitely buy another Grand or possibly a Liberty CRD.

  Very happy with purchase. We have had no problems with the vehicle (62,000 miles). It rides great. This is my wifes primary car and used for all long long family trips. Ive looked at and drove other SUVs and feel Jeep just designs them better.

  I love this car. I have had no problems with this car and we drove to and from NJ to Florida, with two children and a dog. We have a very comfortable ride. No problems whatsoever! This is a great reliable car and we would make the decision to buy another one in a heartbeat !

  After buying our jeep grand cheerokee for the great looks and good comfort, we soon found out that it was the biggest piece of junk weve ever owned. for the money that ive poured into that thing, i could have a hefty down payment on a bently. This car has been nothing but trouble since the day we drove it off the lot. Our jeep dealership has not been helpful AT ALL (quite nasty actually). Needless to say, we are trading in that horibble hunk of metal.
