Model Overview:

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.

Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

  • Great Deal and longlasting - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I really like this car, very reliable. Since I drive it in the city only, the breaks are very much the main concern. Otherwise great car!!

  • 06 Overland - Great Driving Experience - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

I purchased my 06 Overland about two weeks ago; let me first say that this is by far the most well-appointed and powerful vehicle I have ever owned. Coming from a 99 Wrangler, you can imagine the culture shock. The HEMI is as powerful as I had imagined, albeit not as responsive. It definitely has a good half second of lag before the 330 horses kick in. The interior is gorgeous and feels much more like a Mercedes than a Jeep. And the host of gadgets like Uconnect, navigation and rain sensing wipers impress everyone. The rear seat is not very roomy, and when the front seats are all the way back, you are lucky to be able to put a laptop on the floor back there. That aside, awesome SUV

I love my Laredo 4x4. It was better than I expected. The ride is nice and its size is manageable in any situation.

  • Excellent SUV - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. I live in WI so the 4WD is put to use when needed. I love my jeep its fun to drive and it fits all of my friends. i do wish i would have bought a jeep with a sunroof and the leather heated seats. but in a year or to i plan to buy a newer jeep and at that point i will get all the options. this is a great buy and i plan to have one for the rest of my life. great SUV not to big and definitely not to small.

  • My 2nd Grd. Cherokee - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Drives like a luxary car. Superior handling. The 2002 exhibits a bit more power from a standing start than my 1999. Other improvements are a more even cooling/heating system and better stereo sound.

  • Im happy. - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

We just bought this car a month ago. We are so happy with it. It rides so smooth;it is like a sedan. The fuel consumption is great. The cargo space is more than enough for a mom with three boys.

  • Good but? - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Had a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I loved the performance - wife did not like the transmission. Went to an Acura MDX. Now back to the Grand Cherokee - lots of vehicle for the money. Great options with the limited package. The 4.7 V8 is not as spirited as in the 2000? Watch Chrysler - newspaper cited a significant recall for the 2007 Grand Cherokee - dealers service department did not address this recall concerning loss of electronic brake function, antilock brake system, traction control and speedometer functions. Given the dealer apathy, I doubt I would be too quick to buy another Chrysler Product.

  • Never AGAIN! - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

I bought this Jeep a few months ago and have had NOTHING but problems with it! I would be driving down the road and the jeep would just shut off. The next day it wouldnt speed up over 10 miles an hour. I have had it in the shop 3 times in 3 months! Chrysler keeps telling me they cant find anything wrong with it. Yeah, right they cant. I will NEVER buy another jeep again.

  • Engine stalling - huge saftey concern - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

I very much enjoy my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. It has all the features and power needed from the 4.7 liter V8. Only one huge problem, the engine stalls out on a regular basis, sometimes while driving at rated speeds. Despite every effort to resolve the issue, the local dealer cant fix it. Chrysler is well aware of a nationwide issue but hasnt released a fix.
