Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

New Limited with Hemi - 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By WC - April 21 - 9:50 amJust picked up this jeep grand Cherokee limited after researching for months. Also drove the BMW X-3 and X- 5, the Lincoln MKX, Hummer H-3, MB ML320, and can honestly say the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited had the best ride of all. For the money, its the best value by far and you get real capability that can handle any ruggedness you may throw at it. The interior is extremely comfortable and inviting. Very happy so far.

Junk the Jeep - 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By junkthejeep - April 18 - 10:00 amThis Jeep has been nothing but a pain. It has left my wife stranded more than once and has been a mechanics dream due to the money I have shelled out. Ill never buy a Jeep or Chrysler product again.

Third ones a charm - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By RIJEEPSTER - April 18 - 10:00 amThis is the third Jeep Gr. Cherokee I have owned and it is by far the best. I test drove many other brands and could not find one better. It is fun to drive, comfortable on long drives and just an all around great vehicle. Today four years later I still get complements on its looks.

Not What I Expected - 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By T Tyler - April 16 - 5:03 amI got this 97" Jeep in 2006 with approx 60k on it... with in 6 months I had to have the Rear-End rebuilt... $1600 Water Pump replaced in 2009 for $450 Transmission Rebuilt 2010 for $1600 This Jeep has been leaking Oil from day 1 (Minor Dripping) The front end needs to be Rebuilt also.. but where I live there is no need for 4X4, so it will stay the way it is... I love the interior , look and overall ride.. Just too many issues with me even driving it rough. When I drive, I drive it with care.. Still it seems to not want to play fair and stay repair free... Why me... PS: The Infinity speakers seem to be blown... may be due to the age... oh well

great car but one MAJOR problem - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Mark - April 15 - 2:40 pmMy 2012 Grand Cherokee overland has been a very good SUV. Drives well, I like the looks, is comfortable and roomy. My issue with the car is that at about 40K miles the dashboard started to bubble and warp. Though I have an extended warranty, the deal (Rairdon of Kirkland, WA) says that they will not fix. So, Im stuck with a car that looks good from the outside and but is hideous on the inside. I would not buy another luxury car from Jeep, they clearly dont know how to make them and are not willing to stand behind their product.

Power and Looks - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Richard Maier - April 15 - 8:36 amRecently I purchased a boat which weights approximately 6,000 lbs. I looked at trucks to purchase to pull my new toy; however, a four door crew cab would not fit into my garage. I bought a Limited Grand Cherokee, Hemi engine. Perfect size for my garage and plenty of power to pull the boat up steep mountains. Since I do not need to have a lot of space in a SUV, I am very happy with my new Jeep.

Awesome SUV - 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Mman72 - April 11 - 4:06 pmI recently purchased a JGC Laredo 4WD. I traded in my Audi for the Jeep and I must say that I was very surprised. This Jeep was awesome. The drive was smoother than any CAR Ive had so far. Very impressive. My only recommendation is to buy the 4.7 V8 or bigger. The 3.7 is a bit weak. However, it has enough power. But what a great surprise for my 1st SUV! So far so good!

Oh what a feeling to Jeep~! - 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By JeepLover03 - April 11 - 2:00 amIts a great feeling when other cars cant cross the rain flooded roads and my Jeep just drive through, casually. I love the view/height of the Jeep gives me enough warnings on the trafic ahead. Wonderful "power-everything" in my "special edition" model...oooh la la. Why is my Jeep feels "heavier" when Im tired or early in the morning? RUST~! on the hood, not a good sign. And what are those squeeking noises~? Under the dash, in the front and back door panels, over head, everywhere~! Final words, Im gonna get rid of it after 6 months and get a newer Jeep Grand Cherokee, if not; well, Honda or Toyota people will be seeing me soon.
