Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

2nd Grand Cherokee..love it so far - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Matt1214 - May 8 - 1:46 pmThis is my 2nd Grand Cherokee. I traded in my 2004 Laredo V6 about 2 months ago and love it so far. Wouldnt even know it was the same vehicle, the improvements are great. After 2,600 miles I have no major complaints. I did have an issue at about 2,100 miles with the vehicle not starting but it, for some reason, just needed a jump. Was going back and forth between the Hemi and the 4.7, but in the end chose the 4.7 Not as quick as I had hoped, but still fine for everyday driving. Averging between 15-16mpg in mainly stop and go traffic. Between returning buyer rebate, a discount through work and the manufacturer rebate, got over $9,000 off sticker.

Jumpy Jeep - 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Kim Kinna - May 6 - 2:50 amI have owned a Jeep Grand Cherokee in the past and was looking forward to loving this one. The interior was fine, nothing special, and the ride was much rougher than expected. Overall, this Jeep felt like the same old Jeep with a few cosmetic changes. Hopefully the newly redesigned model will be much improved.

What a piece of crap! - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By LET - May 4 - 6:00 amThis is my first JGC and I expected much more from a reputable brand like Jeep. First problem: water leaking inside cockpit thru the windshield (4 days at dealer - 1,500 miles). Then came a recall from factory for some major fault in a transmission seal (1 day in service - 10,000 mi). Third big disappointment:car wont start - fuel pump sudden death fuel pump with short circuit in pump cabling! (3 days at shop - 13,000 mi). Fourth and counting...:computer/start key system malfunction, car wont run (3 days at service - 22,000 mi). Latest problem: car wont start - stalled at mall inside garage, towed to dealer yesterday.... Dont know what the problem is (aaaarrg!) just 2 more months for lease end!

Everything I wanted. - 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By LoriL - May 2 - 10:00 amThis vehicle is excellent! I could always count on it whenever I fire it up. Its design makes it easy to get in or out, and shopping is a breeze! Lots of room for storage, and handling is great! I recommend it to anyone looking for a all around 4 wheel SUV.

Dont Buy this Vehicle!!!!!! - 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By JT33 - May 2 - 10:00 amBought this vehicle new, and have had nothing but probems. Rotors keep warping, door locks keep breaking. I called Chrysler customer service numerous times since the problems were never resolved, they refuse to honor the warranty on their own parts. Ive owned two Jeeps prior to this one, as well as other Chrysler vehicles, and will never pruchase another one. They could care less about keeping their customers happy.

accident waiting to happen - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By nonap - April 27 - 10:36 pmGas pedal delayed response almost causing accident. I accelerated at stop sign man decided to cross street I saw him. put my foot on break. had to apply break hard because accelerator finally responded. I looked down at the gas pedal to see if my foot was on both pedals but I was only on the break. This is not a wish list but is a serious defect & needs to be recalled & fixed. it could have caused that man his life, & I would have to live with the guilt. Took delivery April 2014. car is 2014 model. I have complained about lag time & they say its now computerized instead of direct linkage. & my security breach by Bluetooth on 24/7 even without keys in car

do your research, do not buy - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Donny - April 24 - 1:36 pmWe bought this Jeep for my wife to drive to work, works awesome in snow and ice love the all wheel drive, I love the looks of it, also love the sound of the throaty v8 engine, would sound better with dual exhaust, the bad is we have only owned it for three months and have had to put $500 worth of parts into it, I am a mechanic so I take care of my vehicles, the front speakers suck they rattle already and need replaced, there is a light blown out for the heater controls so cant see what the setting is at night, already had to replace the starter @ $300 and a wheel bearing on the front @ $230, that is just for parts, pretty pathetic at only 37,000 miles, wonder what else is going to go out?
