Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

Thrilled with the quality and luxury - 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By kahului38 - March 23 - 5:38 pmBought a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited in Black with the Frost Beige Leather interior. Have driven it about 1,000 miles so far and I LOVE IT! I had to wait for the 2012 since the dealer couldnt get their hands on any 2011s in Black with the Rear DVD option (I have two kids). It was worth the wait! The V6 on the Limited is more than adequate (I do not tow anything). I miss the extra punch of the V8 in my old 2001 JGC, but the mileage is much better (23-24 HWY) and the car rides so smooth.

Toughest SUV on the road - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Mike - March 18 - 5:56 amWords to describe this truck: Brute power, menacing, aggressive, intimidating, classic, smooth, head turner, exclusive, hungry (or thirsty), "get-out-of-my-way". Ive put over 1000 miles on it and it is more fun to drive each day. It is also surprisingly quiet inside, and not as bumpy as I thought it would be. Stereo is clear and crisp, but could use a little more bass.

Amazing ride - 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By richardar6 - March 8 - 5:03 amTraded in 13 Kia Sorento because service center was beyond disappointing. So glad I did. I bought the Sorento to be practical, I bought this GC because I truly WANTED it. I am so glad I did. The ride improvement alone justifies my desicion. In 3 days, Ive driven over 300 miles just because. I cant wait to get out of work just to drive it again. I know I sound like a kid, but Im 45. Also, I actually have gotten thumbs up from people checking out my rims. Never would of happened in the Kia.

Nice Comfortable Ride - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Edwin - March 5 - 10:53 amBought the Jeep in Las Vegas, NV and drove it home to NJ. It was a fun ride, making a stop in Chicago, IL. Very smooth ride, accelerated well, gas on the highway was very efficient and the sound system was excellent. I love my Jeep.

Very happy Grand Cherokee owner - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Happy Jeep owner - March 5 - 2:00 amMy 2004 Grand Cherokee is one of the best vehicle purchases I have ever made. Before buying it I was thinking about a Cadillac CTS and took one for a test frive. I knew I was interested in either the Caddy or the Jeep even though they were two different types of vehicles. Well I found that the Jeep had a much better ride than the Caddy CTS, believe it or not. I took the Jeep and I love everything about it.

Great Car, Off-road/On-road - 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Jackman90 - March 4 - 10:00 amThe Jeep Grand Cherokee, is a nice little vehicle. It has the Quadratrac II, and can really pick-up with a v8. Adding a K&N filter also helps with it, and all around is a great car.

Theres Better Out There - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Graysith - March 4 - 12:00 amI bought this 8-cyl model as a lease, intending to keep it for 200K+ miles. Routine maintenance, no problems except rear rotors until 95K miles. Then front end going out (typical for jeep, due to BAD design flaw) and 4WD biting the dust... plus I had to put in new front rotors and front hub assemblies. I am terribly disappointed in the lack of high-mile dependability of this vehicle; my Mustang was better! No wonder the power train warranty is only to 70K. After reading other reviews I am now heading to a Nissan dealer; too much $$$ to spend on a vehicle with 97K miles. Owners, look out for that "magic" 100+/-K miles on the odometer, youll be in for trouble I guarantee it!

Hot Dang! - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By faylchr2 - March 2 - 6:56 pmI recently purchased a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.2L V8 and 4x4. It has 133,000 miles on it as of now and I have had it just about a month. So far I have had no problems with the vehicle and I bought it for a very good price. I have had to replace the valve cover gaskets and front right axle seals, but I knew that would have to be replaced upon purchasing the Jeep. So far so good!! Hopefully I purchased a good one! Only two owners and fairly good overall condition.
