The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. I will continue to buy JEEP - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By always in a jeep - December 13 - 10:00 amI a woman principal driver absoutely love everything about this car. I dont believe it handles like a truck, it manuevers very well, the ride is awsome, i could drive it all day. Its not too big but big enough. My husband likes it for the the same reasons plus the features under the hood. this is our 2nd jeep the last one was a laredo. We tow a boat back and forth to california without hesitation. we travel to the mtns to ski and it gets us there and back in fine shape. so i strongly disagree on many of the reviews that protray it in a bad light. an awsmome car that looks sexy and rugged easy to park and on and on. it is not noisy either.

By Michael - December 12 - 10:30 pmThe Jeep Grand Cherokee is a wonderful all around vehicle with luxury and usefulness. You can seat 5 or more comfortably. It is great for road trips and also serves as vehicle to move items. The luxury of the Grand Cherokee Limited is by far a huge plus with heated seats, 10 CD disc changer, awesome sound system, and a memory chip to remember two different drivers seat, radio, and mirror settings. The Jeep is also a very safe feeling vehicle which was a number one priority when buying after I flipped a Toyota T-100 3 times on highway 280 in San Francisco. The Grand Cherokee brings together safety, usefulness, luxury, affordability, style, and dependability all under one roof.

i keep hearing "poorly built truck" - 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By jayjay - December 11 - 10:00 amSo I was handed down this 2003 jeep grand Cherokee. This is my third car. The climate control stopped working. That means no AC in the summer, no heat in the winter, and no air to defog. I brought it to jeep, they wanted $2000 to replace a damaged part. Other mechanics wanted 1000. On top of that, the axle makes this annoying clunk noise whenever i apply brakes. Another $2000. The blinkers, brake lights, and many other electrical problems emerged that needed a lot more repairs. numerous mechanics have told me that this is just a poorly built truck. with 80,000 miles none of this should be happening. This truck has been a nightmare. I may take whatever resale value is left and run with it

Good overall experience - 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By jim98vette - December 10 - 10:20 amIve owned this Jeep for about 5 years now and have put about 40,000 miles on it. Total mileage now 110,000. Total upkeep expenses approx $4500 including batteries twice. I think $75 a month upkeep is not bad considering all. The strong points with my Jeep are the Engine and Drive Train. Weak points electronics. I can attribute even the electronics problems to wear and tear though.

By golden20 - December 9 - 12:29 amMy lease on a 2011 Mercedes E-350 four matic was expiring & I drove ALL the high end suvs, & NOTHING comes close to my Summit!! The Mercedes M class seats are a pain to put down, expensive for gas & insurance, the Audi dont give a decent lease payment, same for the BMW X-5. A lot of suvs also dont have avail the active headlights, which are awesome!!I have had no problems with anything, gas mileage is about 19 city & 25 highway. A really fab vehicle!!

Worst car Ive ever owned! - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By eots44 - December 7 - 4:49 amI bought mine new and five years later the engine blew up and after a new engine the transmission went. It was beyond repair and now just sits in my driveway rotting away. It is also extremely uncomfortable, I didnt want it to begin with but I was suckered into it. Never will I buy another Jeep product in my life, they are so unreliable and are listed for the worst quality amung cars. Replaced it with a 2004 Cadillac Cts, also bought new, and now nine years later and about 185,000 miles no problems and still rides like new. I knew I should have just stuck with General Motors.

`99 Grand 4X4 Great Truck - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By clarkecars - December 7 - 2:00 amThis Jeep pulls a 23 ft salt water fishing boat to the gulf and east coast twice a year. It has always performed extremely well. Plenty of torgue for towing and very reliable. The GoodYear Wranglers that came on it sucked and even w/rotation wore out at 32000 miles (or so). Ill buy another Jeep when ready. This is Jeep number 5. My first was a 4.0 litre Comanche pickup, then two Cherokee 4X4s and two Grands. You can have your wanna be Japanese SUVs Ill take the one I rely on for power at a reasonable price - Jeep!

By ddena - December 7 - 2:00 amWell, what can I say. I should have bought a beamer. This thing has plenty of power and really sucks the fuel right out of the pump when I pull up. The ride is real busy and Im only hoping that I will adjust with time. I owned a S-10 blazer for years. I hate to say it but the blazer was less expensive to operate and road better. I only hope I learn to enjoy the ride

Only In A Jeep! - 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Amz - December 6 - 10:53 amI have bought my Jeep and love it. So far I put on 155K and not once did i have any mechanical problems. Outside of thermostat, and a drivers side window motor the car has been driving perfect and the only maintenance I preformed so far, was oil changes and breaks. Oh, the serpentine belt was changed too, but only because annoying kids from Jiffy Lube insisted on it. Love my Jeep! My only concern now is the fact hat I have to make up my mind what to get next!
