Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

Love my Jeep - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Carolinamama - July 28 - 5:56 amI love my Grand Cherokee. I owned a 2002 before this and I am a loyal Jeep customer. I love the way it drives and rides. It is very comfortable for long trips on the highway and short ones in town. I love the way it looks on the outside and inside. The only issues I have with it is that there is a little tire rubbing when I crank the wheel all the way right (doesnt happen when I turn left) and that the transmission seems to struggle for a couple of minutes on a cold morning. Also the gas mileage could be better but what do you expect for a large SUV. I get about 15 miles to the gallon in town and about 22 on the highway. Not too bad I guess

Excellent Vehicle - 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Chetster72 - July 27 - 4:46 pmThis was the first Jeep I had ever purchased. I have been so impressed with the quality and reliability since then, that I have purchased 2 more and kept my original one. They are rugged, comfortable and very reliable. I chose the I6 4.0L motor, it has plenty of power and is one of the most durable ever built.

Good Stuff - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By dublea - July 26 - 10:00 amWell, Ive only had it a week, and its our first Jeep but we love it! the only complaint is we have to take it in and get a new windshield put in it because the one that came in it has air bubbles in it... a little disappointed but nothing major and theyll give me something to drive while they do it. Other than that so far its great, drives wonderfully and I personally think the Grand Cherokee is still a sharp design and is one of the best looking SUVs on the road.

280000 miles just wont die - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By sailingdude - July 26 - 4:30 amI bought this jeep with allot of miles cheap. It is the fourth jeep I have owned. Cheap to fix and lots of used parts out there. Cant go wrong if you havnt allot of cash to blow on some over priced ero-trash leather llivingroom. You can still drive it with many things wrong with it then fix it at your own pace. 280k starts and runs great. and the interior is just as good, leather, heated seats, premium sound, comfortable, I can go on.

its a [non-permissible content removed] good jeep - 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By bajbaj - July 24 - 7:43 pmi have this jeep with now 120,000 miles on it withe 4.7 v8. its been very reliable so far just the regular maintenance. my only complain is the passenger side airbag sensor light is on for a long time now. i drive it like crazy everyday. im lead foot driver so i only average 13 miles a gallon doing 60%city and 40% highway. by lead foot i mean full throttle while accelerating if you want this vehicle to be reliable put castrol synthetic oil every 3000 miles or 3 months whatever comes first. jeep pulls great with a lot of low end torque. i will say i does got some minor electrical issues. dah!!! its a jeep it gonna always have some of those.

Jeeps going the way of Chrysler - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Fyffe7 - July 24 - 1:10 amI have been driving Jeeps for 20 years. My last Jeep was a 1998 Grande Cherokee with the V8. It was my dream car. It was time to get a new Jeep. Wrong! Had the new Jeep for one day. Returned it. The new Jeep canÂ’t touch the 1998 except for the Hemi. Where to start. Windows are smaller. Interior is plastic junk for the 35,000-40,000 you are paying. Parking brake needs to be in the driver foot well but it canÂ’t because the foot well canÂ’t even fit my 2 feet. No rest pad for left foot in foot well. If the jeep had the interior of the Chrysler 300 I would have bought one. Whishing there was a brand new 1998 GC on the lot with a Hemi. Bought a Ford Sport Trac instead

Windows - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Ariel - July 23 - 11:23 pmVery bad manufacturing, no Wonder people dont buy American, had to change the Windows regulators in 3 of the four doors, also the front drive train had to be change already, the control for the fan broke at around 30,000 miles, will never buy another vehicle from this company again and I will not recommend this vehicle to anybody.

Good Choice - 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Joe Koski - July 22 - 6:33 amI bought the Jeep used with 18,000 miles. This is the fifth Jeep Cherokee I have owned, the second Grand Cherokee, and is the best. The interior fit and finish is exceptional; the car is very well appointed and rich in its presentation. I have had no repairs to date, with the mileage now at 64,000. It has been an excellent car. It gets approx. 16-18 MPG around the city, and 20-22 MPG on a straight highway trip.

Awesome SRT8 Grand Cherokee - 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Terry - July 20 - 9:03 amThis is the top performance SUV in the world with acceleration, speed, braking, and handling that must be experienced to be believed. Despite that you are surrounded by a luxurious environment with every feature and comfort you could want. When Im relaxing I must drive with the cruise control or I am going 100+ and not even know it until you notice you are blowing by other cars or you glance at the speedo. My mileage is 14.66 mpg but I never drive less than 85. If you appreciate precision and amazing performance but still need to do the family stuff this is the one for you. You will not be disappointed. I never thought I would own a Chrysler product, Im really glad I was wrong.

Great so far - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By living42 - July 18 - 1:20 amAll new style for 2005. Wife as always picked this model and color out but I said it had to have a HEMI (GUY THING). We havent even filled up the gas tank yet and judging by how quickly the gas needle sinks Im not looking forward to it. Leather seats are nice and seat heat is a favorite with me. We have had it for only a short time but I feel this was a sound investment.
