Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

All Around Great Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By High Output - November 7 - 10:53 amGreat SUV! The H.O. motor is fun and reliable. The car is great for someone who wants an around town SUV but knows that they can take it off road to. Car acts just as good if not better when off the road. The H.O. motor is also good to have for trailers. Overall a great car.

I finally got it! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Chris_27 - November 7 - 10:00 amIve been searching for the right SUV for almost a year and finally decided on the Overland. It is a magnificent vehicle both inside and out. I got every option except the navigation and am happy with everything. Although I have only had it for a few weeks I am very impressed.

Its a Beauty, inside and out - 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By ChiGirlInTexas - November 6 - 8:56 pmAfter considering many other vehicles, Im so glad I got the JGC. Smooth acceleration, quiet cabin, great techie tools--the Nav, bluetooth, hard drive for my music (uploaded via USB, about 800 songs fit w/room to spare). Incentives made it more affordable to lease than the Liberty, and when I feel the Hemi respond, I know I made the right choice. Of course, the gas mileage is lousy, but after driving a 4-banger for 3 years, I was ready to get some power....and this Jeep really delivers. It won out over the Honda Pilot, Ford Edge, Saturn Vue, Mazda CX-9 & Mitsubishi Outlander. The incentives plus dealers willingness to negotiate made it a no-brainer. If you like em loaded, look at JGC!

I never thought Id buy American but.... - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By jessica40 - November 6 - 7:54 amI am pleased with my purchase. I was considering the Lexus RX when I saw the new redesigned JGC Laredo passing by in traffic. It grabbed my attention. I went home and did my research.. one week later I had purchased one. It has that luxury feel to it and very comfortable (leather interior). On the flip side.. I just had to take it into Jeep bcus the engine light came on..it has been there now for 3 days.. they were nice enough to give me a loaner (2012 Durango). I also own an Infiniti G37 but prefer my Jeep! The dealer mentioned something about and O2 sensor, all covered under warranty. I miss my truck but want to put pressure on them as I dont want it rushed and want it fixed properly!!

This is my 4th Grand Cherokee - 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Bogart - November 5 - 2:00 amThis is my 4th Grand Cherokee - the first 3 were Laredos and this new one is a Limited. I have never had any problems with any of them. I think they are great value. The salesman I used is Tom Patton with Park Cities and he was really, really awesome. I would recommend a Grand Cherokee and Tom to anyone.

Great vehicle! - 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By logic7 - November 5 - 12:30 amIve had this vehicle for around a year now, it has 240k with nothing rebuilt. It has the 5.2l V8. (not sure why its not listed in here) Very fun vehicle and I love opening it up and listening to the engine (got a glasspack on it so its a little louder). Good for offroad although it could use a locker in the rear.

Be ready to acquaint yourself with the Lemon Law - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By carlton765 - November 3 - 8:57 pmLoved this car for its fir 1k miles. Great MPG, great value, good looks. Then it all started. In the shop 11x for various issues, poor fit/finish, including 7x for the check engine light. The service manger was ultra-apologetic and said they hadnt been adequately trained and encouraged me to escalate within Chrysler. Living in California made this a no brainer to claim Lemon Law protection. Ahead of even doing that however Jeep bought the vehicle back, compensated me for the literally 30hrs of time Ive spent either at the dealer, on the phone, or dealing otherwise with this disaster of an American car. Yes it was ultimately handled, but avoid at ALL costs.

Overland best of the not-so-great - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By lcgrifon - November 3 - 10:00 amHey, until Mercedes really takes over, this is the best of the Jeep bunch. I am very encouraged that DCM will get there but I dont know how soon. In the meantime we in the US get downgraded Mercedes for less than what I would have expected. For those of you coming off lease, you have a great opportunity in the next year or two for "lease loyalty" good treatment for technology that may be new in a Jeep name but very well healed overall

Like no Jeep Ive ever had - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Elliot - October 31 - 5:23 pmI bought the loaded Grand Cherokee Limited with the 5.7L Hemi. First of all, I have owned 2 other Grand Cherokees, a Wrangler Sahara and a regular Cherokee. While I liked all my Jeeps, this new one is by far the best. It is a rocket ship ... so fast in fact, there arent too many cars out there that I cant leave in the dust. Because I do tend to have a heavy foot, my gas mileage suffers somewhat. I guess lately, because the novelty of the Hemi power is still with me, Ive been getting around 12 or 13 mpg. Thats ok for now, but if the gas hits 3 bucks, I may have to resort to my "old lady" driving patterns to save a few bucks. Comfort is unreal. I love this car and would highly recommend it!

Buyer Beware - 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Juan234 - October 30 - 2:00 amWhere do I start... The front and rear differential seals have been replaced along with the seal around the oil pan. Suupossedly bad from the factory. Plus the control for the climate control went out after 3000 miles and did I mention that the sun roof leaks and they have replaced the headliner. Oh, and by the way the drivers side seat heater was replaced and now the passenger side is going out as well. So far this has all been under warranty but when its up this car is going to cost me a fortune. Dont just take my word for it, read the other reviews. Buyer beware unless you want to spend alot of time at the delears repair shop.
