Overview & Reviews
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the pioneers that ushered in the modern midsize SUV in the early 1990s. Jeep has always wanted the Grand Cherokee to be maneuverable enough for urban duty, roomy enough for family duty, stylish enough to take out on the town and capable enough to tow your toys or shuttle your passengers to a remote campsite. Modern Grand Cherokees are far more refined than the early models, but they're no less versatile.
Unlike most other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has always been built using a carlike unibody platform for superior on-road handling. Yet Jeep's strong reputation for off-road prowess is retained, thanks to the Grand Cherokee's advanced four-wheel-drive systems and capable suspension. It's a rare combination of attributes in a modern utility vehicle, as the Jeep is able to venture farther off the beaten path than competing crossover SUVs.

Great Buy - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Airborne - October 5 - 3:50 amThis vehicle is perfect for my wife and I and are dog. The cargo space is more than enough. The drive is smooth and fun. And the gas mileage is great for a 4.0L. This Jeep has fit its purpose in our everyday life. We not only use it in the city but also for camping which is so much fun with this particular vehicle. We love it.

doomed from day one - 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By lvmcgee - October 4 - 12:04 pmI picked up my new jeep on july 12 and on the way home the screen for the u connect went out and it was 90 degrees so no ac , no radio, nothing. I should have known better than to think that a Chrysler product was going to be a good move from my Chevrolet which never gave me a minutes trouble. this means that in the winter if this goes out you have no heat either and no manual way to defrost . very disappointed at my decision . and the carpet is the cheapest thing I have ever seen, and you cant clean it. it is at the dealer for the second time in three days now for the same thing. Big mistake, they didnt test these things at all . 47 thousand dollars worth of trouble

For $45 buy a luxury SUV - Buyer Beware! - 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By KLH - October 3 - 2:40 amOK, I went to get my lease 08 Jeep and have regretted ditching my BMW every since. Soon after I picked up my overland the sealant on the quarter glass window started melting, took numerous calls to Leith Headquarters and Chrysler headquarters until they finally agreed to fix my Jeep. On top of that the electronic items in the car fail at any given time - including auto headlights!!! Still after all this time it malfunctions at any given time, stalls on the road while driving, speakers stop working, hard drive crashes and stalls, wipes out info stored in it, the list is endless as to what malfunctions on this Jeep!

Very Nice - 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Betty H - October 2 - 2:43 pmBought it last week and very happy. Took it from Florida to Virginia and had ample passing power on the highway and performed flawlessly in the Mountains. Seats are very supportive and comfortable. Its hard to believe this is a body-on frame SUV telling by the ride.

Man I love it! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Youn Kim - October 2 - 10:00 amThis is my second Grand Jeep Cherokee Limited to the 93 (same model) I had. The old one ran fine, but getting everything repaired at the dealer just got too expensive for such an old car. I had a little less than 150K on it so Im expecting to get similar mileage before I get another new car on this 04 GJC. My new car is simply joyful to drive and to own! It has power, comfort, and style. I just love driving this car, even though I dont go off road. So far no problem except for groaning when shifting from R to D. My old 93 did this too. Im not sure if its normal.

Jeep Cherokee Laredo 2001 - Low Quality - 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By JeepHat - October 1 - 8:03 pmThe problem is with the quality. My Jeep has reached 99,300 miles and the latest problem is that the transmission is gone. Reverse gear stopped working. It will be a $3,000 repair charge. Other Issues : Automatic window motor cables broke - 5 times. Each repair cost $350-$400. The rear trunk door springs broke, cost to repair $250. The gear shift had problems due to which it would skip gear one. After numerous trips to the service shop finally they fixed the governor and some part for $800. A certain speed sensor would switch of the power at full speed in the highways. The sensor replacement cost over $1,000. The relay switch for the cooler broke - $250. And there are more things.

Love that Hemi - 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Janell Lawrence - September 27 - 3:20 pmI have had my Jeep for a year now and it is still the best Jeep I have ever owned. I love the Hemi and the smart beams, the navigation and the u- connect. It drives as smooth and easy as the first day I got it, It is great on long trips, no achy back and legs. It handles the road wonderful. I dont feel it leaning around curves; very stable. A year and I still love it!

Jeeps are Great - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By investig8or - September 26 - 10:00 amI have owned Jeeps since 1974. I switched from Toyota Land Cruiser. Best thing I ever did. I put 147,000 on my last one. Still going Strong. I did not buy the Jeep to collect Groceries or sit on a freeway parking lot. We use the wifes Toyota Camrey for that. We do a lot of off road in the mountains and camping. This 04 does everything I could expect.I particularly like the Lumbar Support, and the memory features. I will never depart from the Jeep line.
