  • Value not luxury - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Little disappointed after switching from Lexus. Navigation sounds like computer girl. Sounds very dated. Plus XM cant get there act together to activate traffic and weather. Still waiting. Home link hasnt been able to hook up on the garage door. My wifes Infiniti had no problem. Dealer thinks I might have a bad mirror Cant raise or lower the passenger seat and the phone doesnt have program abilities Overall it is a nice value, but not ready for people expecting more in quality and service. Id give mine back if they would take it

  • Unbelievable value - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

This is my second hyundai. My first was a 2001 Elantra. All I can say is that this company has made massive improvements in comfort in the last 10 years. Ive put about 2K on the car so far and love it. Getting 31 MPG while doing mixed driving. For the size of the car, the way it rides, and all the features, I wouldve expected to pay way more. Theyve gone above and beyond. They even keyed a garage door opener into the rear view mirror. After testing ford fusion, Malibu, and accord, this one was far and above the best combination of ride and comfort.

Driven car to and from FL - 2000 miles so far. Great road manners, easy to drive, comfortable and good visability. 39 and 35.6 MPG at highway speed. Odometer incorrect with the Hankook tires, need to adjust MPG up 2.4%.

  • Love the new Sonata - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

The new Sonata comes only in a 4 cylinder which, at first, was off- putting. I drove and purchased the Limited, and was more than satisfied with the acceleration and handling. However, what really sold the car is the innovative new Lexus-like body style. I own a 2006 Sonata, which my son inherited, and had considered a 2009 or 2010, but was not in love with the looks -- plain Jane. The 2011 changed all of that. One sharp, well- equipped car for the $24,200 purchase price.

  • My Third Sonata too! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I just bought a 2011 Sonata slightly used with 9k miles on it and got a great deal from a Dallas, TX dealership. I traded in my Chrysler 300c Hemi - I was sick of driving it from gas station to gas station. What a revalation the Sonata is! It is so much easier to drive and cornering is way better than the 300c which just felt like a tank. Yes the Hemi had more power, but the Sonata is lighter and really does need it. I was very curious about real-world gas mileage so the first day I bought it, I took it round trip from Dallas to Plano and back on mixed city/highway driving. I averaged 35.7 mpg on the freeway cruising at 75 mph - I am sure if I went slower, it would probably be closer to 40.

I bought my 2011 Sonata Limited one year ago, heres the update on this car. While no car at any price is going to be perfect, the 2011 Sonata Limited is a very fine car. Ive had no problems with this car, its exterior prompts many people to comment to me on its styling, the enterior is modern and spacious with all kinds of added features. The seats are firm, supportive and comfortable. The car provides a quiet and smooth ride with a slightly European-car feel (similar to the honda and bmw type ride) and the sounds system is first rate. The 4 cylinder is very peppy and very efficient on fuel. Changing the oil is easy with good access to the filter and oil pan. This car is a contender!

  • Good overall car, some bad features - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Overall this car seems to be a good value. Fuel economy is excellent, i average 33.5 mpg on 50/50 mix city/highway. Few negatives though. 1. The driver seat is extremely uncomfortable. I could not find a good position no matter what I did. My legs and hips hurt after 3 weeks of owning. I need a pad on the seat and a pad on the lumbar to make driving tolerable, otherwise pain is unbearable. 2. Engine is rather noisy during acceleration. 3. Cloth seats and some interior trim cheap looking. 4. Bad sight lines. I anticipate getting rid of this car sooner than expected, it is just not comfortable to drive.

This car is great, Hyundai has really come a long way, no, its not a perfect vehicle, but its far from junky and ugly for sure, I think its blowing Lincoln, Honda and Lexus out of the water now, but you never know, all in all Im very happy with my 11 sonata. :)

I have had my new Sonata Limited for one week now, silver with black interior. Can not say enough about this car!The looks, outside and in, is a head turner. The proximity key is fabulous, sound system much better than my azera which had 11 or 12 speakers. The gas mileage is excellent so far, 23.5 MPG which is 100% city driving. Will give update in another month. So far, way to go HYUNDAI!

  • Switched from American - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Never thought I would do it but I finally bought my first non-American car (although its built in America, so I dont feel as bad). I love this car! Roomy, beautiful styling, gadgets galore and the warranty to back it up. How could I choose otherwise. A little more road noise than I am used to going from a Buick, but I think different tires will quiet some of that once they wear out. Bought mine on memorial day and looking forward to many years and miles!
