  • Great Car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Owned the car for about a year and have 24k miles on it. This is the best car I have ever owned. It is well built with logical layout of all controls. A lot of standard features that are options on other makes. The ride is compliant and the chassis is well sorted but steering is numb. It is quite fun in turns for a family sedan. The transmission is smooth but the manual mode is useless since it automatically upshifts in manual mode. I average 26 mpg in mixed driving and 36-38 mpg on the highway. No problems in the first year and with how things have gone for the first 24k miles I dont expect issues anytime soon. Overall best value and car in its class.

  • Impressive and Popular - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I have been researching Hyundai since it entered the American car market. They have come a long way, and have been successful. I am a car enthusiast and decided to give a Hyundai a shot. Recently leased a 2011 Sonata Limited. The car is wonderful. I had to take it in for a canopy rattle that ended up coming from the sunroof. The dealership gave me a rental car and rebuilt the sunroof over night. The rattle/creak is now gone. One thing that is annoying is the door-stays are not very strong and its hard to keep the doors open sometimes. I notice a slight vibration in the steering column upon acceleration, but otherwise its smooth. Love the car, very sleek and sophisticated.

  • Meet the Accord Killer... - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I traded in my 2008 SE Sonata for the Auto GLS in Pacific Blue with Grey interior and the alloy and power seat package. Love the car and its power for a 4cyl. 30 more HP and a lighter car with a much better transmission now. Pickup is close to a 6cyl 0-60 times. Interior space is plentiful and a huge trunk tops it off. I think this is the car that moves Hyundai up a notch! Well done Hyundai.

  • Still Happy - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

66,000 miles.., still going strong. Nothing new to report. Still very impressed with the engine/gearbox combination. I service the car as per the manufacturers recommendation.. Got a clean bill of health during last visit to dealer, all recalls done. Everything, nav, sunroof, climate control etc.., no problems, working well. Overall, love the look and acceleration! The car is holding up and I am happy.. still no complaints.

  • Giant step up for sonata - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

I could not imagine a bigger step up than the one the Sonata took with this new 2011 model. Attention getting looks from everyone. The new style rivals cars twice the cost of one of these. The SE model stands out when compared to the GSL and LTD. Paddle shifters. Really. Dont need them but adds a sporty feel for sure. 18" wheels and low profile tires complete the racy look of the SE. Ride is stiff and sporty feeling on the SE so if your worried about ride quality then stick with the LTD. SE models are hard to find so take note. No long trips yet but MPG good for big car.

My Brother was so impressed with mine, he bought one the day after I brought mine home! Smooth quiet ride, plenty of power, great gas mileage, and the best warranty in the business

  • Hyundai Replaced the Bad One - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

See my previous reviews. Hyundai replaced the car that pulled to the left with a new car which has no problems. Actually I had to find the replacement but Hyundai was cooperative and I am very happy now. I cant go into details because of the agreement I signed but Hyundai was very good about it and I would buy another one.

  • Great But - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Purchased this 2011 Sonata LTD Turbo a few weeks ago. Rides great, looks fantastic, (venetian red) but, it drifts to the left. Took it back to have alignment checked and repaired, was out of specs. But now still drifts to the left but not as bad and seems to do it only/mostly when accelerating. Will change lane in 1/4 mile. Dealer stated that its due to the front wheel drive "torque"?? Awaiting meeting with factory rep. This is not one that falls in the recall for steering column problems. Thats why I gave it a 6 in "fun to drive"

  • Junk in my opinion - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Have a 2011 hyundai sonata limited 2.4l engine! Have had trouble with the passenger side door latch, trouble keeping the bulbs in the headlights and taillights, now when the ac is turned on it sounds like popcorn popping, and the car doesnt want to start! Anyone else had this problem
