  • Impressed - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I have own this Limited for 6 month with 6000 miles on it. I have received numerous positive comments from strangers. It is fun to drive, great mileage, at any speed. The electronic gear is impressive for a car of this price and i particularly enjoy the Bluetooth feature and the ease of using the controls. One problem has been keeping the front and rear window shields clean. Ive tried numerous produces but continue to have a haze that is distracting in sunlight. The horn is not loud enough to be heard in noisy conditions. As a skier I not sure if a ski rack can be added and find my bike rack just fits the trunk still allowing me to open the trunk without the bike mounted.

  • Love It - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I am a big man to the tune of 63" over 300 lbs. I have plenty of room in this car. It is fun to drive and the controls are very handy and laid out very well. This is the first vehicle that I have had in 15 years that was not a truck or SUV. Other than it sits lower than what I am used too it has been a great car so far.

  • Good looking car but it has some problems - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

I recently got my GLS and logged just under 1,000 miles on it. The car looks good inside and out. Its roomier than my old Mitsubishi Galant. But the steering wheel is very stiff. My Galant was much smoother on the handling. Then engine is late coming off the red lights but I cant knock it too much being a 4 cylinder. My Sonata pulls to the right instead of the left and the pull comes and goes. The Bluetooth is great but the voice recognition stinks. I thought it was my accent but I had my daughter test it and it stunk just as much. In the first thousand miles I have not seen better than 29 MPG. Maybe I need to drive some more before it starts to produce.

  • Perfect for a mom who doesnt want a van - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I absolutely love this car. It is huge! I can fit both kids in the back in car seats and have someone sit comfortably in between them. The trunk is unreal. The first 500 miles we got about 25 mpg, but after that it was like a light switch and now we are getting closer to 40. It handles well and Ive had 3 people mistake it for a Lexus. We live on 1 income and this car satisfies our need for a low payment and the fact that we like all the options on the car. I highly recommend the black one! When we were at the dealership purchasing the car they didnt have enough for the people who wanted to buy one. Also, the seats in the SE are super easy to keep clean.

  • Just what I have learned to expect from Hyundai - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

This is the 4th Hyundai I have owned and again they did not disappoint me. I have never owned a Hyundai that gave me any problems so this was no surprise. The new sonata outdoes them all. The car feels and drives like I spent at least double what I did when I traded in my 2008 Sonata. This is just an amazing car, quiet as an empty church , stable and sure on country roads and highways. As with all of my other Hyundais, not a hint of a squeak or a rattle anywhere. No wonder they are selling so many cars.

  • Best car for the money - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

I recently bought my Limited 2011 Sonata after looking at every car in the mid size category. For the money this is the best car in its class; its quite, smooth, looks great and rivals cars costing much more, and when you consider the warranty, everyone should buy one of these. I walked in ready to lease a car, but after driving and researching the Sonata, I purchased the car. My daughter has a Lexus ES/350, I call the Sonata a poor mans Lexus!

  • Great Value - MPG Accuracy? - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Ive got 24k miles on this now... probably 18k of it was on the highway. On the highway never got over 34 mpg but on my trip yesterday with three fully grown adults and some luggage in the trunk i averaged 36.2 mpg on a 400 mile trip on eco drive going some 70 to 80 mph up and down mountainous roads. the only thing is.... when i calculated the mpg based on miles traveled between gas fill-ups, the mpg was only 33.3 or so. the car overall has been fine for what ive paid. the only real issue was with rattling which the front passenger area which they kind of fixed. alignment has been bad from the beginning. the ride feels cheap when going over bumps.

  • WE love our new Sonata - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I cant begin to tell you how much my wife and I love our new 2011 Hyundai Sonata GLS. We cannot stop looking at our car just parked....beautiful. Its hands down the best family sedan we have ever owned. We have owned Hondas Toyotas and BMWs in the past. In these hard times, getting the most for your hard earned money means a bit more to people than it used to and I think Hyundai has really stepped up to the plate with this new Sonata. They really have listened to their customers it seems.

  • My second Sonata but not my last. - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

As soon as I noticed the 2011 Sonata on the lot I knew I had to drive it. I was driving a 2009 Sonata that I also loved from the very beginning. The sleek new lines are very attractive and they make the car look much more expensive than it really is. The six speed transmission is much more refined and it seems to hug the road better than my 09. I am a six footer and the drivers compartment is very comfortable. All of the controls are well laid out and easy to reach.

  • Noisy on all but smoothest surfaces - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

The Bad: The tires make a lot of noise, unless you are on very smooth surfaces. 198 hp engine, but feels like much less at lower speeds. The suspension does not feel refined--edmunds must have been testing the car on very smooth roads. But the car sure looks good.
