  • Amazing new look! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Im in love with this car. Lots of compartment storage. I just got this car last week and I already received so many compliments on how great this car looks like interior & exterior. The seats are comfy!

  • Good car, bad tires - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Nice car in general. Not sure why they decided to make such low profile tires standard equipement on the SE and Turbo. Totally impractical for most people. Perhaps in Korea they devote resources maintaining their roads. Here in New England, the smallest of potholes will cause a flat, of which I experienced two in the first week. I have since "upgraded" to the base 16" wheels. Significant improvement in ride and durability. Also agree that the steering sometimes feels that it wants to pull to the left. Not always, and mostly in the left lane when the road slopes away from the center. Prefer the feel of traditional hydraulic power steering. Otherwise nice car and good value.

Really liked what the SE brought to the table over the GLS or Limited. I like to feel the road, and I do with the SE. I test drove 2009 Limited (6 cylinder) and thought it had the flu. No guts and sloppy feel. Even though the new SE doesnt have the same HP, it FEELS like it does and the ride in the 2011 is MUCH more responsive. The styling isnt even in the same league as the previous Sonata. There are a lot of professional reviews that should be read.

  • Value, Value, Value - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I have had this car for about ten weeks and am pleased. This car is an excellent value. The GLS model comes with all the bells and whistles standard, including USB, Bluetooth (both phone and MP3/Pandora capability), steering wheel radio controls, manual-override 6-speed transmission, etc. And Hyundai Assurance and the 100k mile warranty. It is comfortable and smooth to drive. Well-built. My quibbles are in visibility - the B-pillar is chunky and the rear visibility is horrendous. I also quibble that you cant disable XM, forcing you to flip through all three stations on the wheel. If you want leather or a sunroof, go for a higher package but you cant beat the GLS for the money

  • Pleasantly surprised - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

After only driving Honda/Acura the last 20 years I was hesitant on the purchase of a Hyundai. I started out in the market for a used car around $18k. I was looking at 07 Accords with 30K miles but was tired of the same old thing. After countless hours of research I said why not at least test drive the Hyundai? I can get a brand new basic model for about the same money as a used accord. I was instantly sold on the 2011 model. It offered all of the features I wanted with better gas mileage at a great price!

  • My Mid-Life Crisis Car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Im a busy Mom with 3 kids who didnt want to get another minivan, but really needed the space a van offers. Along comes Hyundai to the rescue with the 2011 Sonata! Looks like a sports car (got the SE) and has the space to haul hockey gear, coffin case guitar and leg room for growing boys. Fast pick-up, quiet ride & awesome safety ratings (a big concern for a Mom who anticipates all 3 kids will learn to drive on this).

  • So far so good - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I purchased my 2011 2.0 Turbo SE March 1st and I all ready have 1600 miles so that must tell you I love driving the car. I was experiencing the pulling to the left and i brought it back and they said that hyundai was aware of the problem and they were waiting for a computer update for the steering. So I called the consumer care to verify this and what great service they took my name and serial number of the car called the dealer ship where we bought it and they said to make an appoinment. Then I got a call from Paul who is the regional service manager from Hyundai from New Jersey he said that they changed the specifications and it was fixed and no more pull.

  • Happy I upgraded! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Its been a week now since I picked up my 2011 Sonata and I couldn’t be more pleased. I love the Pacific Blue Pearl color and I getting great gas mileage, between 30-40 mpg. Its a completely different car than my 2010, very thoughtfully laid out, especially the trunk release feature. It goes all the way up so that you dont bump your head. I would recommend this cat to anyone, and my sales experience was wonderful as well.

  • Fantastic Value - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Fantastic car for the money. The SE looks fantastic and after 6500 miles on it, I havent had a single issue. Ive experienced a 3-4 MPG difference between the the car computer vs. real world, but still getting very good mileage. I have driven Hondas, Toyotas, Lexus and the car quality of the Sonata matches them.

  • Dumped after 6 months - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I had one of the initial positive reviews of the Sonata on here. Now it has been replaced with a 2010 TSX Tech. There was no one major reason why, but here is the list of minor ones: cheap interior, bad leather seats, creaks and rattles, rough ride, poor color choice for hot climate (black), road noise in cabin. The Sonata is a great car for the money, but I thought it best to sell while the resale value was highest as I didnt see myself having it long term. If its not your kind of car, try the TSX Tech. Not as many toys, but far superior on the interior and far quieter. Gas mileage is very comparable as well.
