  • My Other Car is a Lexus - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Ive had a Lexus RX SUV for about 4 years now. Even though a new RX is priced almost $20k higher than the 2011 Sonata Limited that I now own as well, I find myself making apples-to-apples comparisons between the two on a daily basis. Strange as it may seem, the comparisons come out even more often than not. The fit and finish of the Sonata is comparable to the Lexus in nearly every way, with the possible exception being that the leather seating on the Lexus is a little more supple. Im sort of a tech junkie, and the Sonatas nav system with its upgraded speakers and backup camera really hooked me. The systems integration really makes driving a lot more safe in todays times.

Okay, I love the looks, the power, the economy. The car rides smooth and quiet. I love the bluetooth radio I make my calls through the bluetooth it works fantastic "call friend, mobile, yes" thats all there is to it. I sound better through my car than my phone. My 32gb thumbdrive works, holds and plays music on the radio, who needs CDs anymore. I have learned to like the footbrake. And I like what is missing, no transmission dipstick, and no timing belt. This should add up to less maintenance. Oh did I mention 87 octane? My friends love the look of the car I opted for the plain wheels, I think at first glance the hubcaps look better than many wheels from other manufactures.

  • Pretty awesome! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Dont believe the poor mpg rating from those other reviewers. Theyre crazy. Im getting 30 mpg with a 50/50 mix of city and freeway! And easily over 35 on freeway. I love all the features: the bluetooth, heated seats, autodimming mirror, excellent cruise control system, smooth AND rather quiet ride, beautifully blue-lighted interior, lots of digital gauge info, nice sound system, sunroof, super gas mileage, push-button ignition (way cool), leather seats (could be a little softer), XM radio, and the occasional gawks and nice comments about the good looks of the vehicle. Oh, and I paid under 25K!

i needed to make a quick decision on a car and after testing the mazda 6 and ford fusion - this was hands down a no brainer decision to pick. It drives really well and love all the features, great pickup and smooth drive. xm radio, heated seats, sun roof ... what more do i need

  • Absolutely love this car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I cant say enough about this car. It has the style I want in a limited edition and the class I expect. I have 45,000 miles on it now and havent had a single problem. It drives so smoothly and is quiet even on the interstate. I wish the newer models were as sharp looking as this and I would definitely trade it in. My car payment is worth every penny on this vehicle.

  • Outstanding contender among midsize - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I typically only buy high end luxury vehicles, Porsche, Mercedes, Lexus, Jaguar and BMWs. This vehicle was purchased for my employees to use in my business. Since driving it I having second thoughts about making it a company vehicle. It looks great, drives well and has wonderful gas mileage. The interior is comparable to the luxury cars I am accustom to driving. Recently, while out of town, I rented a Cadillac CTS. The preferred the interior to my new Hyundai. i wasnt always a believer, but I am now. Great Job Hyundai, great job!

  • 2011 Sanata SE - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I love this car. I test drove the Limited and the SE and liked the SE a little better. It does have stiffer (sportier) ride but, the feel of the of the SE was just better for me. I think the seats are different too and I liked the feel of the SE. Plus I paid about the same price for the SE with sunroof/navigation package, as the Limited would have cost. I would recommend driving both before you buy. The proximity key is an amazing feature especially for this price range. Car is fun to drive. All around a great car with an amazing warranty!!!

  • Great value, good car so far - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

picked this car up recently. Decided to lease it since im not sold on hyundais resale value just yet. So far, this car is working out fine. MPG is less than what i had desired (25mpg in 50/50 mixed driving). Hoping for this to go up under the same conditions after its broken in. The features you get for the price are great. I have bluetooth, xm for 3 months, homelink, a trip computer. TPMS as well... unlimited miles roadside assistance for the duration of the lease (and more). The accord doesnt have the ubiquitous trip computer even when you step up to the exl trim (perhaps you need nav for it). the ride is average. sometimes feels cheap. but for the price itll do.

I was very excited to buy the 2011 Sonata Limited with the Navigation system. The features were great on the Nav but the sound is so low that you can hardly hear the instructions on Hwys and Fortunately it was windy and rainy so couldnt hear anything. So I bought it with out Nav! How could they not check the volume?!?!?!

  • A waste of time please listen to me please! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I purchased this car last year with about 68 thousand miles after I had a big problem with Kia Motors. From a good dealership ( Im going to let there name be nameless. So I get the car man I was in love with this car but I was 10 grand upside down so I say what the heck go for it.... So I did and yall ( you have to excuse me Im from Texas... Lol) when I tell you this car is crap from the start for my relationship. When I first purchased the car I had the motor mounts and the front wheel assembly replaced ball bearings and struts and shock all in a 35 thousand miles I had the car... But wait you have not heard the bad part so 9/10/2015 my car engine starts to knock and falls dead at this point Im thinking bad gas oh no I take the car home and guess what there is a letter in the mailbox stating that my Sonata is safety hazard and they may have to change out the entire engine and car could stall at any time so okay no big deal right? Call Hyundai report what happened to the car no big deal... Wrong so Hyundai sets me Up a appointment with the local Hyundai dealer. Ok well since than time I had my mechanic look at the car and he told me that it is metal shavings in my intake and if Hyundai is replacing the motor that I might want to give them a call to make sure that I will have a loaner while me call is being serviced with the recalls.. Nope Hyundai says no and that basically Im stuck driving this safety hazard till they figure out whats going on. This car is my only transportation to and from work and to get my self to my doctors appointments I have lupus so I have to have a car... Im so upset that Hyundai will not help me?????
