  • I made the switch... - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I have only driven Honda Accords for the past 20 years, but this new Sonata really surprised me! The SE trim level has the appearance of a much more expensive car, and the hybrid seats are a great choice in our hot Florida climate. Ive had the car almost a week now, and Im thrilled with it - the Bluetooth has been seamless, the push button start has been kind of fun, and it just "feels" really nice. This is an incredible value at just over $20K - no need to pay $30K or more, and the warranty cant be beaten.

Own a Honda V6 Accord and still love it. My mate needed to replace his old junker so we went looking for a later model used car because I didnt want to hand down my Honda. 4 banger Hondas (I am more interested in fuel economy now)have not improved (mainly I hate the noise)so we looked at the Hyundais. I was pretty blown away. We took a 500 mile trip and went (shhh) 75-80 most of the way-got 33 mpg! As near as I can figure that is so far out in front of any other lg. sedan on the market. When combined with the quietness and snappy performance I dont think it can be beat. On a 2 lane road I passed 3 cars effortlessly and smoothly. All in all its a SWEET Ride.

This looks to be a super car and Ive bought 10-15 in the last 15 years including Toyota and Honda. There is NO doubt in my mind that this car is by far better than the Toyota for value, safety and features.

  • Pleasant Surprise - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I recently had the steering recall done (no problems found) and was out of the dealership within 30 minutes. Two days ago, I received a letter from Hyundai Corporate apologizing for the inconvenience of the recall. In that letter was a debit Mastercard with a preloaded amount of $20...good to use anywhere Mastercard is accepted. This is the first time in 45 years of vehicle ownership and dozens of recalls, that any manufacturer whose cars that I have owned, responded in this manner. I just turned over 4k and had my first oil change done at the dealership. I was further surprised when I found out that there was no charge for the first oil change. Small detail, big customer smile! Love my car.

After looking for a car that was reliable AND stylish I found no better sedan than the Hyundai Sonata. I have owned toyota camry and nissan maxima in the past. I bought it new in Dec. 10 and have put 14k miles on it so far. No issues, just oil changes. My favorite things about the car is its sporty feel, sexy styling, roomy interior. It is super smooth and quiet on a smooth road, but a little rough on a rough road. Overall, the build feels luxurious and more similar to entry-level luxury cars than an economy car. The door gives a solid "thud" when you close it, the frame feels solid and safe, and the suspension is firm yet comfortable. Im really impressed with this Hyundai.

  • Best car I have ever owned - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

This car does everything I need and more. It is by far the most stylish and technologically advanced car under 30k. Why anyone would waste thousands more on a Toyota or Honda with half the warranty blows my mind. Do yourself a favor and get to your local dealer and drive one ASAP.

  • Lexus, Camry, Accord in trouble! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I had the car for 2 month with over 3000 miles. The Car Rocks. Found New joy driving with manumatics. Traded 07 Lexus GS 350 due to on going brake problems and Lexus refuse to buy it back. This is far better car and its $24K cheaper. It was an even trade. Lexus is basically an over dressed Toyota and charge $24K premium for the name. Good car but not $24K better. Lexus, Toyota better get their act together or they will go bankrupt. I lost all the faith in Lexus and Toyota. Sonata Rocks. Car is stable, solid and handles better than GS. Little noisy but I have $24K reasons to compromise and I still save on gas. I am Hyundai loyal owner for life. Soon, Equus, Genesis coupe conv is next buy.

  • Super Buy for the Money - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Bought the Venetian red limited (only option was tan leather interior) and have 600+ miles on it...love the look and the overall solid feel of the car. Did a mountain of research (Altima, Fusion, Malibu, Taurus, Accord, Passant, and Camry) but only test drove this and a Malibu...no comparison overall...the styling and all the standard features (great buy) for the price got me. Long bumper to bumper warranty was also a big factor. Voice rec system and I are at odds sometimes but overall a very nice feature that gives you options when you are driving at a high rate of speed and want to dabble with the nav or phone. Have no negative comments of note! I look forward to driving it everyday.

Purchased a limited 2011 Sonata one month ago after viewing several new cars at the auto show. We have not regretted our purchase one bit. We looked at the Acura TL and TSX but got so much more car for the $$ with the Sonata. Great new design, drives great and gets super mileage on REGULAR gas not the premium gas Acura or Lexus require.
