  • Awesome car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Before I got this car, I had driven 2003 maxima. It is fun to drive, saving GAS, and performance. It looks sporty. It has more features than I has expected with Keyless entry, and chrome door handles and best warranty.

  • What an Awesome Car! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

After trading in my Mustang convertible in 2005 on a brand new 2005 Sonata, I swore I would never again own a Sonata. The 05 was slow and got lousy gas mileage, I hated it! After the dealership gave me the 2011 Sonata as a rental while the 05 was being repaired, I fell in love and never stepped back into that crummy 05 again. The standard features are amazing and I dont know how I ever lived without Bluetooth although it does act up sometimes, its still a great feature. I love the interior and exterior design. Its more roomy than the 05, but drives and handles so much better. I cant say enough how much I love this car.

  • very POOR engineering on steering - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

BEWARE...Sonatas have BAD and DANGEROUS problems with steering going out...after only 29,000 miles and TWO MONTHS out of "warranty" I was forced to spend $1,200 to REPLACE the entire steering column due to failure. NEVER will buy a crap Hyundai again. Selling this ASAP and back to Ford where I should have stayed.

  • Very Disappointed - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I bought the car because liked the styling, mileage, cost and warranty. However, I am extremely disappointed in the car. I have been dealing with a obnoxious rattle near the glove box since I got my vehicle 3 months ago. Sometimes it is loud and continuous for hours and sometimes it only rattles on bumps, and sometimes I can drive it for 30 minutes without any sounds. I have had it to two service departments 5 times for a total of 7 days. The glove box has been replaced, padding has been added to the glove box and the molding surrounding the glove box has been checked and removed. Two times the service department had the vehicle a whole day and they did nothing. Dont buy a Hyundai!

  • I review all these reviewers - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

First thing I would say is take these reviews with a grain of salt, half these people have no concept of anything. I read one review that said "i get wet when i open my windows in the rain" lol. "the SE is too sporty" ok. I got the SE in white after i traded my Acura TL-type S(with a busted tranny again). The SE has taut steering and a LOT of road feel(includes noise). The noise is exaggerated by all the roadwork across the US. If you want a softer feel and less noise, get new tires(i get 16" snows in Dec). The build quality tops everyone in the segment(anyone who says otherwise just doesnt know or got the 1 in a 100 lemon). The car has some go and always wants to be moving. Heads do turn.

  • Best in class - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

This is my 3rd sonata, starting with an o6 then a 09 and upon getting an oil change at the dealer with my 09 I seen the first 2011 sonata in the 3rd week of feb, 2010 I just flipped out when I had look at the car tucked in the back for not too many to see it was a red se 2011 my jaw dropped from the interior to the duel exhaust to the paddle shifter, I said to myself I have to have it! I waited a few weeks and after reading all I could online. Its an all American design ( Irvine calif. ) to being built in the all new billion auto plant in Montgomery, Alabama. I bought the powder Pearl White with black interior, I love it. If I were to win a million $ I would still own this car!

  • Sonata GLS - Third Review - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

I bought this vehicle new in June 2011, having traded in a 2009 Sonata. At the time it represented a substantial advance on the prior line in styling, content, power, and mileage. The content for the price point was compelling. Also, I had found only a couple of competitors in the midsize segment had a comfortable drivers seat. Although I can afford to buy a new, more expensive vehicle now, Ive decided to hold onto this because it is bulletproof. There have been NO REPAIRS needed on it and no need to go to the dealer (The HYUNDAI dealers are a bit of a shifty lot). I replaced front brakes at 72,000 miles and the rear brakes yesterday at 82,000 miles. Ive had to replace a battery, tires, a headlight, and a bulb - thats it, in almost 6 years. Its a comfortable ride whether on highway or local, although a bit more wind noise than Id like. Specifiec Comments: The satellite radio is great, good sound and reception, however, the CD player is only fair. The AC and heat are adequate. The trunk is enormous. I dont use the back seat except for the dog, but it is large and comfortable. The front passenger seat position is low, but they rectified that in the 12. Plenty of power for me. To get the EPA 35 on the highway, you have to go a steady 60-65, at 70-75, I get high 20s. The Bluetooth works OK but is a bit finicky in connecting the contacts on your phone. The car feels very safe, has good power, is comfortable, inexpensive to buy and to own.

  • 11 Sonata - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I was a muscle car person for years, and the practical side of buying with my head vs. buying with my heart led me to the new 2011 Sonata. Even though I have only had the car for a few days, I am EXTREMELY impressed with every aspect of this vehicle. I could always judge how fast I was going with my Mustang GT by feel and manual transmission, but I am going to have to watch my speed in the new Sonata based on how smooth it shirts and the impressive ride. Hats off to the redesign and all the new features.

  • Camry is Gone, Sonata New Baby - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

I had a 2009 Camry, loved the car and hated the big payment. Researched the 2011 Hyundai Sonata and was totally impressed. Went and test drove the GLS and feel in "love". Totally impressed by the 4 cyl. power, the eye catching exterior design and the roomy interior. Fantastic standard equipment, cant wait to get the bluetooth figured out. Payment is half of what I was paying and people want to take a look.Hope it will live up to the gas mileage Im hearing about and the great reviews Im reading. I think it was a great choice and Im extremely happy with this car.

  • Weird smell from the front of the car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Hi, I bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata last month. I like the car very much. Its very quite, stylish and comfortable to drive with good economy. But, after driving for even a small distance like 10 miles and when I come out of the vehicle, I could feel a weird smell from the front of the car. One of my friends bought same type of car 3 months back and he doesnt have any such issue. I am curious to know whether it is a manufacturing defect or it is a normal behavior ? When I checked this with the dealer, they said it happens with some vehicles and not with all. They told me to wait till 6,000 miles. Can any one tell me what should I do ? I am really confused .
