  • I love this car! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I love this car! It is comfortable and roomy. Everywhere I go people are asking me if it is a Lexus or BMW. When I tell them its a Hyundai they looked shocked. I love the white pearl color and all the options: push button start, nav system, XM radio, XM data, sunroof. The trunk is very roomy. We took it on a short trip and got 38 MPG. We get 27-29 MPG around town. I traded in my 2006 Mercedes R350 for this car. People still cant believe that I did that. I wouldnt take any other car for this one. My hubby wants to trade his Dakota in on another one!

Ive had this car for 2 weeks and i love it. it is so comfortable & fun to drive. i drive 180 miles to and from work and this car has made driving a pleasurable experience. I owned a Honda for 2 years but the seats were so uncomfortable & road noise was so loud, i had to get rid of it. the sonatas ride is smooth & quiet. i get 35+ mpg. have driven 557 miles on one tank of gas. love the options that came on the limited. i love the exterior & interior design. back seat is roomy and comfortable. had previously seen a review on the back seat not having enough headroom. Im 510" tall and i have plenty of headroom. love the keyless entry and push button start. i love this car! good job Hyundai

My wife owned an Elentra GT, 1st gen Sante Fe and now a fully loaded 2nd gen Santa Fe. I always thought they were "nice" and reliable, if a bit dull. The 2011 Sonata? Not dull. In shopping for a car, I debated between new (Sonata, Fusion, Taurus, Accord, Legacy) and used (Passat, A4). After a lot of internet research and test drives, I was most impressed by the Fusion and Sonata. I really liked the way the Fusion SEL V6 drove, but didnt like the looks or the price tag. The Sonata impressed on the road, looked awesome and was priced perfectly. 2 weeks and 800 miles in, I can honestly say I look forward to getting in my car every morning and evening - 40 mile commute or not. Thats success!

  • CORRECTION TO PREVIOUS REVIEW - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

My earlier criticism of the navigation not being able to be programmed by inputting the phone number of a commercial destination was incorrect! It can be done and its easy to do. I just didnt know how to do it. I do now and it is wonderful. Also, the time and temperature are easily obtained by pressing a button. I didnt know how that worked either. So now, my only complaint is that the ipod connection should be "compartmentalized" to keep it out of view of thieves.

  • From 350Z to 2011 Sonata SE - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Just took delivery on a 2011 Hyundai Sonata SE. If you like what is portrayed in the Super Bowl ad (Geaux Saints) go out and take a first hand look. I came out of a Z and was a little worried about HP. It’s not dragster but with the 6 Speed VDC Trans it shifts like a dream. The exterior lines, paint form and fit are truly matched to the high end manufacture’s standards. The interior is very impressive with well thought out placement of speakers, gauges and remarkably comfortable front and rear seats. The Bluetooth microphone is very well placed and connection clarity the best I’ve ever experienced.Buy now before the discounts go away and/or the dealers realize what a catch this car is.

  • Best car for the money - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I love this car. There is nothing to compare with the Accord or Camry. This is the best interior, exterior, mechanical... and cheapest one. The ride is very comfortable like any American car. The only thing I am a little bit disappointed is the audio. Its not bad but feel like an Aiwa. The subwoofer is not that good and I think its better to have 8 speakers rather that 6 for the limited.

I researched getting a car for 6 months, narrowed it down to 3, then test drove them all. The Sonata won hands down. It handles like a sports car and is just as fun to drive with plenty of elbow room for my 3 kids in the back. Im 1/2 way through my 1st tank of gas and my only complaint is my gas mileage is only 24. I hope that changes with the 2nd 1/2. I do 75% highway driving and was expecting it to be higher. Ill update if something changes. That being said, this is still the best car Ive ever driven. I got the red one and it is hot. I would highly recommend this car to everyone.

  • WOW - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Just returned my 2007 Nissan Altima SL as my lease expired (which I enjoyed very much during my lease term) and was considering to lease a 2010 Altima SL again...until I read and test drove the new Sonata. WOW! Love the styling, ride, warranty and all the standard options on the Limited model which i just leased.Purchased the Phantom Black without the NAV option from Global Auto Mall in NJ (great people!)anyway... been driving it for a few days and really enjoying it. Only thing I sense is that the engine is slightly louder than my Altima maybe due to the fact it had a CVT transmission. Interior, XM and HD radio as well as front and rear heated seats is crazy! A headspinner on the road too !!

  • Traded my 2005 BMW 325i! =) - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Coming from a BMW, I was very pleased with the bells and whistles in the car, but moreover I was impressed with the sporty feel of the car. The size puts it in the range of the 5-series, but I was sold on the 198hp engine with the gas mileage of a 4-cylinder engine. Why would I need a 6-cylinder??? The only thing Ill miss is the auto-sensing wipers, but thats a small sacrifice for this bold and beautiful car. You wont be disappointed, and hopefully this will AT LEAST get you to take a test drive. Got the limited for $24,100, so negotiate hard. I feel safer in this car than with the side curtain airbags, which the BMW lacked (in 05 model). With a 9 month old, safety is everything!

  • Could be more comfort - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

We had the car for two months. My only complaint is the rough ride and better comfort front seats. The car needs different tires. 17 inch rims and low profile tires do not give a smooth ride. Hyundai needs to work on this. Other wise a great car
