  • Great alternative to camry - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Traded my 2003 Camry SE, this car is great the fuel economy is great Im getting mid to low 30s. The interior layout is great everything you need is at the tip of your fingers on the steering wheel. Power is good for a four banger. I have owned this car for 3 months and have a little over 4000 miles. Im hoping I have the same luck I had out of my 03 camry not a problem one. I keep my cars 8+ years. The one complaint I would have is the drivers seat is a little uncomfortable at first but the lumbar support helped greatly. At this point Id recommend this car to anyone looking for a family sedan. If youd asked me years ago Id never thought about buying a Hyundai, build quality is great.

I researched the 2011 Sonata to the point of being Well informed.. We stopped to look at our local dealer. They had a Limited, gls & SE. The GLS was my price range with great standard features. Loved the looks of the SE. Old Hot Rodder come thru again.. For the extra green stuff, the SE made the decision easy.. Love the looks, and after a road trip, the best part is the ride, safe feeling, above all MPG on average 35 at 75 mph. Gotta love it.. I love the linkage to Mercades, Lexus, among others. The only complaint is my wife said the passenger seat was too low. Black is great, but is harder to keep in concoures condition.. Still impressed!!

Weve had our Sonata for about two weeks and just love it. My wife drives 70 miles a day for work and are averaging about 31.2 miles per gallon so far. We have loved our experience so far and have gotten many compliments on our new purchase.

  • Great Car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I did a lot of research before I committed to buying the 2011 Sonata. I had a 2004 Camry which was the best car. I test drove the 2011 Camry, and the Acura TSX; but after seeing the 2011 Sonata at the Auto Show, I just had to drive it also. I was unbelievably impressed with the Sonata Limited! It has all of the bells and whistles that the TSX and the Camry XLE have for thousands less. The 4 cyl engine is direct injection and is just as responsive as the TSX and the 6 cyl Camry. It puts out 200 hp, yet gets GREAT gas mileage. I recommend getting the nav system as it is the only available option for the Limited. It handles like a dream!

  • A Very Nice Car - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I loved my 2001 Camry and was certain Id buy the 2010 model, but Toyotas problems had me looking for an alternative. I was intrigued by the looks of the 2011 Sonata but decided to try out the competition (including the 2010 Sonata). After many test drives it was clear to me that the 2011 Sonata was the class of the midsized cars. Not only did it have the best appearance, it had the nicest interior (tied with the Malibu), the best handling (tied with the Accord), the most comfortable seats, the best power, the best gas mileage and even the largest trunk. I got a good deal from my dealer and Im very happy with the car. Hyundai has a winner in the 2011 Sonata.

Ive had my Limited w/nav for over 2 months now and havent had a single problem. On strictly hwy driving, Ive gotten 41.2 mpg @65-70 mph. Averaging 27.2 mpg overall. In dash mpg readout is almost identical to the mpg when I figure it manually. Comments on noisy tires are probably due to the fact that they are low rolling resistance tires for better mpg. Still, this car is quieter than the Acura TL I traded in. As for the ride, the Sonata rides better than the aforementioned Acura TL. No rattles, no squeaks, no problems with fit and finish, no leather seat issues, etc. The adaptive transmission has not given me any issues and shifts up/down almost unnoticeable. 100% satisfied with the Sonata

I bought mine new in May 2011. Ive got about 15,000 miles on it now. I love this car. Granted, I spent a little more to get the touchscreen nav system, the alloy wheels, and premium audio...but other than that, its pretty much a regular GLS. I love driving this thing. I have seen some of the other reviews of people saying this car is really disappointing...I dont think thats the norm. The design is just very well thought out. Ergonomically its a dream...and there is a TON of room inside. Its actually deceptively roomy because it doesnt look like its as roomy as it actually is. The car runs perfectly and Hyundai also offers great support.

  • Tired of Denial and Dishonest Service - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

I bought 2011 Sonata Limited for my wife with maintenance included so that shell have carefree service, thus paid premium price for the car. I am an engineer myself so I understand there could be and there will be bugs in newly designed vehicles. When she wanted to return the car after overheating twice and gearshift issues in first month, I stopped her. I wish I did not. There followed other problems, seats squishing, rattling inside the car. And last but not least leaking moon roof from the passenger side. Every time the services response was, it is normal, it can happen etc. Mind you my wife drives our baby around this car so she is a very gentle driver.

  • Love My SE! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

Picked up my new Sonata SE a week ago and really love my car. NO rattles or noises to report. Driving it is so much fun as it hugs the curves and handles very well. Cant agree with others who say the acceleration leaves something to be desired; I find it zips along just fine, thank you. Yes, the low profile tires give a slightly bumpy ride and the horn is in dire need of a testosterone infusion. Lots of interior room, a very important factor since Im a large person, and comfortable seating in the front and rear. I optioned out of the navigation/moonroof package and dont regret it a bit. I havent enjoyed driving this much since getting my learners permit 30 years ago.

driver side floor maps are constantly getting tangled up with gas and break pedals the hooks installed cant keep them in place. Passengers side does the same but not a safety concern.
