I feel like a million bucks driving this car. Who would have thought that Hyundai would have come out with such an impressive looking car that drives like a dream, and a great value and warranty?

Who ever would have thought I would ever own a Hyundai! Even my neighbor thought I was a crazy, until he took me to pick up my new 2011 SE Sonata! This car is amazing! Do yourself a favor and do pass up a test drive if you are buying a car in this class. i saw the sonata first. Then went to Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Ford and test drove comparable cars TRYING NOT TO LET MYSELF BUY A HYUNDAI! ha ha ha, couldnt do it! I found myself comparing everything the other cars didnt have! LOVE my car. averaging 32 MPG!

  • Love my Car, Comfy, convenient controlls - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

The disappointing part: before I bought it, Consumer Reports said to use caution when purchaseing a vehicle in its first year of redo and updating., (2011 in this case). I loved this car right away with all the technology, comfort, easy access to controls, over the top temperature comfort. I sit on a pillow to give me better views, not conducive for short/medium dirivers. expecially when checking out windows traffic , blind spots seem to be a challenge. I wish there were some high tech sollution (standard equipment) to this problem. I took off the rear head support restraint so I could see a little better. But as with everything you adjust to mangage the drawback. Standard safety equipment should be standard in every similar vehicles with the same challenges. My love affair became strained when I checked for recalls and tech reports. Their were approx 10 RECALLS. of which few could be fixed, but they couldn,t get repair parts to repair the problems. I have had steering coupling ordered for 7 months. The driving mechanisms is deteriating, expect to send me into the drink! I check Carflex, they already show "12 reports". One man RECALLS, I am cautioned about hight risk of loss of control, lose brakes, chance of fire. Scarry! WHAT CAN I DO?? CHECK LEMON LAW?? SELL IT TO ANOTHER SUCKER??

The ride is exceptionally smooth. At 80mph on I95 still the same and handling that with 2300 rpms. Received 35mpg on the way home...gotta love it!

Terrific car. How do they do it at these prices? Are they actually making any money?

  • Transmission fails after one month - 2011 Hyundai Sonata
    By -

I purchased a new 2011 Sonata for a cash price. One month, 2,500 miles later, the transmission failed -- DOWNSHIFTED at highway speed during rush hour -- very dangerous! Sounds like the opposite problem of a Toyota! Dealership very unfriendly, will replace transmission, but tried to talk me into buying a higher priced car! Nonsense. Corporate office nice, and is looking at buying vehicle back, no promises. Dealership not useful at all.

  • Great Car~Looks and Drives Well - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

After test driving this car I had to ditch my Honda Accord. This car is great for the bucks I got everything i wanted plus more the design is great, car drives well, good warranty, interior feels of good quality. This car is 100% more appealing then the new accord. I never though a Hyundai would feel this fun to drive.

  • Disappointed with 2011 Sonata GLS - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Car is attractive, spacious and standard bluetooth is appealing. However there is little else to celebrate. Steering is poor: It vibrates on uneven road surface, makes odd sounds on deep turns. Steering feels unstable and unsafe. Engine rattle/vibration when in slow traffic. Low power on inclines; car slides back before going forward.

  • Too good to be true? No! Got my cake and ate it too! - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Ive had my Sonata SE 2.0L Turbo for 3 weeks now and still cant understand how Hyundai can offer a 274HP Turbo sedan with BMW like build quality and safety, for less than $25K off the lot. Even on the 2.0L Turbo, you can still negotiate with Hyundai and get it for at least $1K under invoice. I did. The turbo is quiet and makes for a quick car. If you dont kick the turbo constantly, you will realize the posted fuel mileage. Voice recognition system is a little clumsy and the XM radio sound quality is subpar compared to MP3s through an iPod. Be aware that Hyundai hides the warranty on the NAV system; its only 36K or 3yrs. Handling is not an Audi, but awesome for $25K sedan.

  • Hyundai From My Son - 2011 Hyundai Sonata

Being the previous/current owner of 4 Accords, 1 Integra, 1 Pilot, 1 Prelude and a CRV I am a Honda Aficionado I decided to take a chance with a Hyundai. My son is a car salesman so he sold us a Sonata SE and adhered to the price range I told him to stick to. The car looks beautiful and the performance is phenomenal given its price-point. The fit and feel is on par with Mazda but not up to par with the Accords I have owned. The overall package exceeds the rival Accord or Camry. The engine is nice but needs just a bit more refinement. I am happy being the owner of a 2011 Sonata SE. I am also proud that my son and his dealership treated me and my wife like we were special. You go son.
