Overview & Reviews
There are no significant changes for 2004.
- Excellent warranty, pleasant highway ride, lots of bang for your family-sedan buck.
- Noisy four-cylinder engine, some cheap interior bits.

A Great Deal - 2004 Hyundai Sonata
By Scordova - July 26 - 2:00 amOverall, this car has a great, great ride. It is very smooth in comparison to the Toyota Camry. With its low wheelbase, it corners very well with stable, predictable handling. The six cylinder motor gives plenty of extra kick when accelerating and going up steep grades, even with a full load.

New to the Hyundia family - 2004 Hyundai Sonata
By GGagne1955 - June 12 - 2:00 amJust purchases a 2004 Sonata and a 2004 Elantra for our son in college. Very pleased with both vehicles. Dealer was a pleasure to work with, they even allowed us to apply the Hyundai loyalty owner rebate to the Sonata. Our first trip in the sonata returned a very good 29.33 miles per gallon.

The Most Inexpensive Jaguar - 2004 Hyundai Sonata
By HyundaiBeliever - June 8 - 10:00 amI purchased an 03 Hyundai Sonata GLS with 8K miles. I owned an 03 XG350 prior. I drove across the US 1,400 miles. The interior comfort is amazing. The ride and handling is actually BETTER than the more expensive XG350. The shiftronic feature was great driving through mountains. Most interestingly Im constantly complimented on the "cool" design. Next to the new Jaguars, there are a LOT of similarity. The price makes me feel SMART. For smart car buyers who arent out to impress with a name (HYUNDAI wont) and want a LOT of car for your dollar, buy the Sonata. The 24/7 roadside assistance gives peace of mind that I didnt expect.

THE BEST VALUE, EXCELLENT QUALITY - 2004 Hyundai Sonata
By Wayne, Alexandria VA - March 14 - 10:00 amBought this vehicle and am amazed at the power available in such an economical car. I learned how to drive on my fathers 1966 Chevy Impala 283 V-8 and this V-6 Sonata is its twin in pick up from a standing start. The interior is plush and the design....I feel like I bought a Jag! I owned a 2000 Hyundai previous to the Sonata and it was a solid, reliabe, no frills car. This Sonata is fantastic! Get one!

2004 Sonata GLS-Superb - 2004 Hyundai Sonata
By shelley1121 - January 31 - 10:00 amI bought my new Hyundai 1 week ago, I totally love it! The dealer was great and the price was outstanding. I test drove the Toyota Camry and this seemed to run better. I felt like my money was well spent. I like the4 cargo net in the trunk. I liked Hyundai because everthing my car came standard and it is pretty well loaded. It seemed like Toyota and Honda added more options which drove the price up, not Hyundai, I only paid $49 for the pinstriping and that was it!

By TSUEGUY1 - November 18 - 10:00 ami ACUTUALLY BOUGHT A 2002 SONATA & I LOVE IT. IT HAS STYLE AND CLASS. IT RIDES SMOOTH AND HAS A LOT OF TOYS (OPTIONS). iT IS FUN TO DRIVE WITH THE SHIFTRONIC, LIKE HAVING THE BEST OF BOTH THE AUTOMATIC AND THE MANUAL STICK WORLD. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO BY ONE. THE COMMERCIAL SAYS IT ALL....DRIVING IS BELEIVING.

love my new sonata - 2004 Hyundai Sonata
By foxtrot22 - October 31 - 10:00 amMy new Hyunai Sonata Lx is a smooth quiet riding car. I get wonderful mileage even though it is a six cyc car. On several occassions I was asked if I had a new Jaguar by my neighbors.
