I bought my first Hyundai in 94 it was an Excel and I still have it, no problems and it has 117,000. We needed something bigger and I bought the sonata. The warrenty is awesome. I love the car and people are always looking at it saying it looks like a Jag.

  • Worth the money!!! - 2004 Hyundai Sonata

My family owned this car and a 2005 Elantra. We have owned 2 previous Elantras. I went from driving a 2001 Infiniti I30. We traded it in a an Elantra GT. I loved the GT but needed a larger car, so we got this Sonata. What a dream. This car reminds me of my Infiniti, WITHOUT the extra cost of premium unleaded gas. This car has it all. Great pickup, great radio and great overall value. I love this car. I recommend the 6 cyl. though. The 4 cyl. doesnt have the pick up. It is sluggish. After driving it as a loaner car, we bought it. I really recommend this car. I love it!!!

  • Highest value mid-size sedan - 2004 Hyundai Sonata

If you rated this car on value per category it would rank 10 on all aspects. I rated this vehicle in comparison to other mid-size sedans in a similar category, such as the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. If you are looking for a car with a firm ride this is not the vehicle for you as it has a fair amount of body roll, sacrificed for the soft ride no doubt. Overall it is a fun car to drive and I would recommend it over any other mid- sized sedan primarily because of the cost. My fiancee bought this car a month ago for $10,700 with 22K miles. It is very comfortable for long trips and has ample space in the rear seat and trunk. The car looks very upscale both inside and out.

  • Wonderful Car - 2004 Hyundai Sonata

Overall, I love this car. The fuel economy is not quite as good as the competitors, but its not bad. The low end tourque of the V6 is pretty weak, but once it gets going the car performs very well. passing on the highway is not a problem. The ride is extremely smooth, and quiet, and the car handles very well. The inside is confortable, and the standard features/price ratio was unmatched by any other car.

  • Great Car / Great Value - 2004 Hyundai Sonata

My husband is a big guy 6ft 4in and its hard for him to fit comfortably into some cars. As soon as he sat in it he fell in love - plenty of leg room super comfy. Other cars were a little tight for him. It met all our needs - room for our family (4 of us plus our dog), great trunk space, 27mpg on highway, price, style and comfort. We are very happy. I hope this helps like all the reviews helped me. Happy driving!

The car is comfortable, easy to drive, and can get out of its own way.

  • great choice - 2004 Hyundai Sonata

I have owed Nissans, Toyotas and Honda and for the value my 2004 Sonota is right up there with them without the big sticker price. My sister bought one and sold me on it too.

Bought car used in june. took 8000 mi trip to western states in July. Car performed excellently, especially in mountainous ares using manual shift. I believe the car is well worth the money for the performance & warranty, but concerned about trade-in value or resell value.

  • First thousand miles - 2004 Hyundai Sonata

Purchased 2004 GLS Sonata on Feb. 2. Now have 1000 miles. I am more impressed with the car the longer I drive it. Besides getting a great deal the car is super fun to drive. It rides smooth with the 16" Michlin tires and the V6 has enough power for hills. All in all, well satisfied.
