This Year's Model Updates:

For 2007, Hyundai has shuffled the Sonata's trim levels. GLS replaces the previous GL moniker and Limited takes the place of LX. Hyundai has also introduced a new sporty SE trim. Later in the model year, a tire-pressure monitor and XM radio become standard across the line.

Pros:
  • Upscale look and feel, refined performance with V6, smooth ride, roomy cabin, standard stability control, attractive value and warranty coverage.
Cons:
  • Steering somewhat vague, automatic transmissions are fussy in manual-shift mode, heated seats on the weak side.

All I can say is this thing is freakin awesome. I have been looking for 10 months and have test drove everything under the sun. Car handle better than the Maxima and Altima I drove. Looks better than the Camry I looked at. Out performed the Accord. Blew the doors of of Sebring and was better built that the Fusion or Milan. All I can say is the Sonata is awesome and Hyundai has come a long way.

I looked at the Accord and test drove it and then looked at the Sonata and the choice was easy to me, Hyundai was a no brainer buy for me hands down, got the Platinum edition and you just cant beat the price.

4000 miles so far no troubles, the only concern I have with this vehicle is the fuel economy, My car has not got the mileage the sticker says it should get. But has great power for a 4 cylinder. Very fun to drive!

I’ve driven it 7500 miles so far. I wasn’t expecting much from this car, I brought it for commuting purposes, but, it’s exceeded my expectations; it’s quick, has firm handling and is fun to drive. I’m averaging 23 MPG combine highway/city. You can’t beat the price!!! Ill definitely buy another Hyundai

After my 7 yr old Elantra got rearended and totalled, I simply went back to Hyundai and bought a Sonata. I wanted to buy another Elantra originally but decided to upgrade. Im very sad to lose my beloved Elantra who saved me from 3 accidents in total but also Im happy to be a proud owner of another Hyundai. I strongly trust their safety and reliability. For 7 yrs I had absolutely zero problem with the Elantra. I paid $17,700 for my Sonata with premium pkg after loyalty discount and cash rebate. Pleasant exprience at the dealership. Sonata isnt as quiet as Camry. But still very quiet & great handling esp. at corners. Very roomy and great pickup w/ 4 cyl. Very responsive break. Great car!

My wife and I have a history with Hyundai. My wife currently has a 2003 Santa Fe and I have had a 2002 Santa Fe prior to getting this car. I say that because we think enough of the company and their product to continue buying from them. I am very happy with my car. I purchased a GLS auto with xm radio, moonroof and 17in. wheels instead of the 16 in. standard. I have read reviews that have stated the car has average pickup in highway traffic. Let me tell you that sometimes I have to ease up on the peddle, if you know what I mean, an have no problems getting in and out of traffic. I look forward to a continued great relationship with Hyundai!

  • Amazing for the Money - 2007 Hyundai Sonata

Just bought my 2007 Sonata SE and so far am very pleased. My family likes the space and comfort. I went for the 6cyl and am glad! So far the gas mileage is showing about 25mpg in mixed driving which is very good. Mine was one of the last 07 Sonatas on the lot and the dealership gave me a great deal - Ive never had a more painless experience and Ive bought a lot of cars.

Have had this car nearly a year now & can`t say enough good things about it. Drive is whisper quiet, engine seems to have plenty of power for me. Also the longer I drive it the better the gas mileage gets. I had my mind made up to buy a Honda Accord (own a CRV & previously an Accord)but the rude sales mgr. & $4,000. extra made me go for this car.

Our first Hyundai--bought it after reading great reviews in the press-- had rented one for two weeks of driving and became convinced we wanted one. Great value! Service at our dealership has been fabulous--and we had an oil change at a dealership while on travel--and again, great service. Weve had lots of helpful follow-up from Roseville Hyundai--we even drive the hour to take it there for service.

For the money, you just cant beat this car. Have had it for 2.5 months with close to 8K miles. V6, leather, Infinity Sound, Power Roof, etc all for under $21K. Honda and Toyota couldnt touch this with a 10 pole! The ride, accelleration and ergonomics are great. I am imprssed with the fit and finish of the car as well. Would do it all over again!
