Overview & Reviews
For 2005, trim levels have been slightly revised, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a HomeLink remote transmitter has been added to the LX.
- Excellent warranty, pleasant highway ride, refined V6 engine, lots of storage space.
- Noisy four-cylinder engine, bland interior design and materials, tight rear-seat legroom, tepid handling.

What a great car for the price - 2005 Hyundai Sonata
By Anne - January 26 - 1:46 amI looked high and low for a car that looked good, had a strong warranty, that had all the bells and whistles and that cost around $20,000. I found it! I have absolutely enjoyed my Hyundai Sonata, it rides nice, so far it has been very dependable, and it is good looking. Especially in white w/tan leather interior. I finally found a car I could pay cash for.

Super Car! - 2005 Hyundai Sonata
By Jana - January 24 - 10:04 pmI bought a black 2005 Hyundai Sonata. Several people have commented that the exterior design looks like a Jaguar. I love the headlights, flared hood, and grill. It is very stylish. The interior is very comfortable. The car seems to glide down the highways. The brakes and steering require very little pressure to easily operate. The beige cloth interior is plush. The CD and AC/Heating controls are easily accessible. The trunk space is huge!

Worth a look. - 2005 Hyundai Sonata
By Unexpectedly nice - August 12 - 9:03 amReceived this car as a rental for a week inplace of my Cadillac(what! no devilles for rent!,lol). When i got in this car i noticed it was quite decent. It was fully loaded but did not have leather(Hyundais leather is cheap and rubbery anyway). This car accelerates, brakes and handles well, had a robust V6, sunroof, good sound system. For what? $18-19k, and thats without any discounts. I must note this car does have questionable high-speed handeling.

Hyundai sedan - 2005 Hyundai Sonata
By palegrey - September 8 - 9:53 amVery comfortable, completely trouble-free, good looking, very quiet on highway driving. I like this car more than I did the 2000 Honda Accord that I owned previously because it is quieter than the Accord.

Most car for the money... - 2005 Hyundai Sonata
By jmfbr - January 9 - 7:10 pmAfter a lot of research among mid-size sedans including Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Nissan Maxima and Mitsubishi Galant, the Sonata just couldnt be beat. With side airbags standard, a V6 engine and decent gas mileage, I couldnt imagine paying more money for less car. I even bought-up to the model with the sun roof for under $18,000. It drives like a dream -- having heard on a website that the motor didnt have a lot of pick-up, I was concerned. But it has more than enough for me. It looks like a much more expensive vehicle, has a smooth ride and is very comfortable. After one month of ownership Im still pleased.

Surprised Owner!!!! - 2005 Hyundai Sonata
By Mr USC - January 8 - 9:13 amI was thrust into the car market by a car thief. I had some fast research! This car has exceeded my expectations! I challenge you to find the quality and value for a new car with all the features - Leather seats, front & side airbags, sunroof, V6, luxury interior trimmings, outstanding warranty program, road service, special rear view mirror and just pure value that the Sonata offers! Good Luck! If you are in the market for a mid-size sedan (Toyota Camry or Honda Accords or Civic) my personal recommendation is to take a Sonata V6 for a test drive, then use the money you just saved to take your new car for a cruise up the coast!
