This Year's Model Updates:

The 2003 Honda Element is a completely new vehicle for Honda. It's also the most adventurous Honda vehicle in quite a long time. Its blend of features, such as barn-style doors and waterproof seats, make it a good choice for those with active lifestyles.

Pros:
  • Impressively versatile interior, optional four-wheel drive, trick audio system, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
Cons:
  • Only seats four, Elements with automatic transmissions and 4WD can seem sluggish.

  • Coool! - 2003 Honda Element

We have been snowboarding, surfing, camping, towed three dirt bikes through rain and mud. All in all, I cant imagian having carpet on the floor again based on how dirty this car has been. With the plastic floors, it can actually be cleaned after one of our weekends. Our kids think its cool. People ask if its electric a lot :-| The interior room is great, especially compared to our Jeep Wrangler. Weve owned lots of cars and SUVs and I dont understand the complaints about mileage. It weighs 3500 pounds! Far better than our 10 or 11 MPG V8s. Just like my S2000, I think this ones a keeper.

I require a car to be more than a mode of transportation; it must be functional. As an over 55 male that purchased a new 1989 Dodge Grand Caravan and drove it 250000 miles until the mechanical problems overwhelmed it I appreciate versatility in carrying both people and objects. The Element has this flexibility: I can transport my non-driving relatives; I can carry furniture; I can carry paving stones; I can carry recyclables; I can carry building materials. The style of the car has intrigued many people: I have met numerous people while refueling; they ask if its one of those "hybrids" and then ask to look closer. Comments have been very positive.

This has to be the worst looking car my company could have bought. It is terrible. It drives worst than my John Deere tractor. Ride is not good at all. I would have liked the company to have bought a Kia. I think this is one of the worst vehicals I have ever seen or owned

Extremely confortable, great utility, very quiet at hwy speeds(80mph),great for long trips, quiet power train, super engine and transmission, kickin radio, low maintenance. FWD needs traction control. Great buy. Have a rattle the dealer cannot seem to find.

This is the 4 Honda product weve owned. The make of the vehicle lives up to the standard of Honda and has been so much fun. We have two children and the doors and interior space are convenient. Everyone is looking to figure out what we are driving and we tell them its awesome.

This car is great! If you want a car that gets the looks this is the one. Mine is green and I love its trendy look. It handles great, all except in a windy rainstorm. It tends to blow around on the interstate when the weather is bad. I would buy this car again in a heartbeat!

I love my Element. It is perfect for my life style. I use it for work with the seats out to carry plants and containers. I use it for fun to carry my kayaks and bicycles on top and inside. It drives like a car, but has the room of a truck. And it gets great gas mileage. I dont feel guilty that Im driving an SUV. I cant wait for it to snow to try out the 4 wheel drive. I live on a huge hill and last winter was brutal, leaving me to park at the bottom and walk home until the plows came thru.

Whats amazing is the unlikely convergence of free-spirit, quirky design and a brand that Ive always bought for dependability and longevity: HONDA!! Its feeding both sides of the brain!! Attitude with dependability behind it: thats my car! Jim
