Overview & Reviews
The 2003 Honda Element is a completely new vehicle for Honda. It's also the most adventurous Honda vehicle in quite a long time. Its blend of features, such as barn-style doors and waterproof seats, make it a good choice for those with active lifestyles.
- Impressively versatile interior, optional four-wheel drive, trick audio system, styled as if out of a Japanese animation movie.
- Only seats four, Elements with automatic transmissions and 4WD can seem sluggish.

Most Cool Weird Car Ever - 2003 Honda Element
By Daniel1716 - February 18 - 2:00 amThis car is cool. The doors are cool. The power is cool. The CD system is cool. I like this car alot. (can u tell) Honda has done it again by creating a reliable car that is functional, safe, and up to date. The looks of this car start outside and go in. The sterring wheel has a great design (same wheel as in pilot) and the metal accents add a modern twist. The perfect car if you have a small child.

safety defect - 2003 Honda Element
By big defect - February 26 - 4:26 pmBe forwarned the element has a safty defect. The front windshield breaks due to a design fault in the front pillers. Honda needs to recall these and fix this problem. Several web sites are now dedicated to this. Just search element windshield cracks or failures. this car deserves a zero rating until this is corrected. Our element has had 2 failures in less than 6 months. This appears to now be the norm with this car. Edmunds should tell it like it is and not allow cars with defects to be listed on thier site unless the problem is fixed. Honda wont own up to it and it is now time to trade this defect in.

First gas grizzlers from Honda? - 2003 Honda Element
By RobertCollins - September 28 - 2:00 amHey I have just bought the car, I love the space inside, it is like another little living room just for myself and my dog. But, wait, why does it consume so much gas???? I thought that Honda cars are better than others in terms of gas-mileage. Does anyone else has the same problem? I averaged only about 18 mpg in 90% city and 10% freeway of driving. My civic gives me 28 mpg in same driving manner.
