By TRIMM - August 1 - 2:00 amGreat car, love to ride, its my favorite car next to my shelby. a few problems, tie rods, water pump, 3 trans (2 under warranty), rack and pinion, airconditioning has gone out twice, chrystlers cheap paint, the hood does not stay up, and shocks are bad. nice power and handling though, preparing to take the car apart and rebuild.

By rymcp - March 11 - 2:00 amWas nice at first but now after less than 1 year of me owning it, the tranny as well as motor need replaceing. Its at just over 200000km (sorry dont know miles) the repair bill is more than i paid for the car, definitely time for trade in. Sorry I bought it. a\c never worked for me though.

Dodge dont know transmissions - 1995 Dodge Intrepid
By chrissbrother - February 28 - 2:00 amDodge needs to start buying their four speed transmissions. Only buy this car if you want to buy a new transmission every 40,000 miles. This car was in the shop for repairs 17 times in the first three years, then it got worse.

Back to Pontiac - 1995 Dodge Intrepid
By 1Stewart20 - January 16 - 2:00 amI bought this car used (46,000 miles) with the hopes that I could go to 100,000 miles with the average maintainance repairs. Boy, was I in for a suprise. The first 1000 miles I drove were good. Then I had a 2 trans problem at 48,000 miles. Followed by a busted tie rod, which was immediately followed by a shock housing problem. Another trans problem, air conditioning problem, heating/blower problem, and now wiper motor is broke... all around 75,000 miles. H20 pump is now going to be the next victim. I have gone through enuf belts to wrap around a city block. I now am going to search out a reliable Pontiac.

Nice car with some reliability issues - 1995 Dodge Intrepid
By KLJ - January 8 - 2:00 amIve driven this car for over 8 years. Styling is still beautiful, and doesnt look "dated". I have always liked driving this car, its roomy and comfortable. We had some problems with it (transmission, AC, engine) at 38,000 to 60,000 miles, but since has been exremely reliable. This car is fun to drive on the highway, and cruises smoothly at 70-75 mph.

A few facts about a certain Intrepid. - 1995 Dodge Intrepid
By pvlovisa - December 4 - 2:00 am-A/C, went out, refilled with refrigerant and leaked out. Dealer was only shop willing to look at it and wanted $50 just to pull it in. I still dont have A/C. -Brake drums, rotors, and shoes at 80,000. -Starter raplaced at about 90,000. $250 w/labor. -Was warned by other Intrepid owners about the tranny.. 91,600 to date for mine and so far, so good. -Front end starting to sound sloppy, but riding fine. -Had an alignment at 85,000. Misc: some chipping paint, black plastic pieces on either side of rear window are cracking and fading, hood doesnt stay up, trunk relay sticks sometimes and has to be tapped to get the trunk lid to shut again.

No problems at 150000 - 1995 Dodge Intrepid
By d_rives - September 30 - 2:00 amgood buy. I drive this car hard and have but nearly 200 pounds of Nitrous through the engine and it runs great thanks to the low compression ratio of the 3.3 engine.
