1999 Intrepid ES - 1999 Dodge Intrepid
By barbowl300 - April 30 - 2:00 amI have had this car for 4 years now and it has been very reliable. During that time, I have had three mechanical problems with various sensors during ownership. Other than that, the car handles great and is very comfortable and easy to drive. I now have over 90,000 miles on this car and the maintenance has consisted of two brake changes and one tire change. The trunk is spacious and comes in handy for hauling suitcases. My main pet peeve with the car is the lack of cup holders in the back seat for passengers. I track my gas mileage and the car continues to get 29 - 30 MPG on the highway. I would purchase another one.

By pufti - February 22 - 2:00 amI bought the car before i got married. Had some questions about the reliability of Chrysler in general. However, this car has beaten all my expectations. It has never failed on me and performs the same now like new .. Its now 3 1/2 years old... Chrysler replaced the computer once (boot wouldnt open).

Chysler needs to work on this one. - 1999 Dodge Intrepid
By fjb - January 18 - 2:00 amI have had nothing but trouble with this car. As soon as the warranty expired, I was continually replacing sensors. Even worse, at 39000 miles we had to replace the transmission!

Problems with plastic - 1999 Dodge Intrepid
By poor plastic - August 28 - 10:00 amSince I have purchached this car I have had nothing but problems. It was a demo when purchased from the dealership. Since then I have had everything plastic in the car to break. So far me door handles, air condition vents, rear big brake light, ash trays, and the dash panel around my radio have all been broken. You would think just replace the handel to the door but of course the car is made with it being all attached so I had to purchase a whole new door $500.00, (luckly I found one at a junk yard for $100) air condition vents $27.00 each, panel around radio $100.00. Havent checked on the brake light, yet but I can only imagine.
