Overview & Reviews
Chevrolet offers revised 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels, and 17-inch all-season tires are now optional on LT models. Other new features include a tire-pressure monitor and Hydroboost brakes that provide more reserve stopping power and decreased pedal effort, according to Chevrolet. A traction assist feature is available on two-wheel-drive Tahoes equipped with a locking rear differential. The trailering package includes a 7-to-4 pin brake wiring adapter. Finally, for added safety, there is now a front-passenger seatbelt reminder.
- Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, numerous available amenities.
- Spotty build quality, interior materials could use improvement.

2004 Tahoe, sure beats the Durango p.o.s - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By rick martin - December 29 - 2:00 amso far so good. we traded in a 2000 Durango because the ball joints were failing. Have been extremely pleased with the tahoe. I have an escalade ext and the tahoe is very similar in features and handling. The ride is almost as good as the caddy--but not quite as foregiving on bumpy roads

love the tahoe - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By nataliek - December 29 - 2:00 amThe Tahoe is an ideal SUV for a my family of 5. It is comfortable and the design is sleek compared to a mini van. It has all the features a mini van has and you have the added bonus of 4x4. It is spacious and nice to look at.

Speedometor - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By momof3 - December 15 - 3:41 pmI actually just got off the phone and asked in regards of the "recall" for the speedometer problem and was told that it cannot be done after 70,000 miles free of charge, that I would have to pay $500.00. I was told that GM was ONLY doing this out of "COURTESY" and that it was NOT an official safety recall. Well what happens when you are driving and not know how fast you are going, is THAT not count as a SAFETY?

Still Going Strong... - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By kimij - October 24 - 7:21 pmBought new in Nov 03. Always loved it. PLENTY of pick up - really gets up and out of its own way on the highway. We dont use the 3rd row often - can be a pain to install quickly (and store). No blind spot to speak of at al. Also remember having odometer replaced as a warranty issue. Small things here and there but overall a totally reliable, amazing car.

Hard Driving - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By 04Tahoe - September 5 - 11:28 amI now have 85k miles on this tahoe. Mechanically, it is in perfect condition! Only repair was the 4wd system sensor: $700. Cosmetically, I keep it washed and waxed and am amazing how it still turns heads. I drive Pacific Coast Highway every day, and to the mountains or river every weekend. I have absolutely not concern that this vehicle will make it to 250k miles if cared for properly. This is the best SUV for the money.
