Overview & Reviews
Chevrolet offers revised 16- and 17-inch aluminum wheels, and 17-inch all-season tires are now optional on LT models. Other new features include a tire-pressure monitor and Hydroboost brakes that provide more reserve stopping power and decreased pedal effort, according to Chevrolet. A traction assist feature is available on two-wheel-drive Tahoes equipped with a locking rear differential. The trailering package includes a 7-to-4 pin brake wiring adapter. Finally, for added safety, there is now a front-passenger seatbelt reminder.
- Strong engines, roomy and versatile interior, numerous available amenities.
- Spotty build quality, interior materials could use improvement.

Tahoe is the best. - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By BenChod - November 22 - 10:00 amI made my choice from Nissan Armada and toyota sequoia. Tahoe is the better value. Armada does have a strong engine but the interior is plastic and the dealers i delat with were really bad. Im so glad i purchased the tahoe. Im very satistifed with my purchase.

good truck, but.... - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By jimmy g - November 15 - 10:00 amI would suggest this SUV to those who like having lots of interior space. the performance is great and the handling is responsive. I really like the room on the inside, especially if you are over six feet. The only complaint I have is the leg room in the back seat if the front passengers have their seats back.

Awesome - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By John Quinn - September 14 - 11:41 pmIve owned my 2004 Chevy Tahoe Z71 for about 8 months. Ive put approximately 12K on the odometer. Ive used it for just about everything, from normal city/hwy driving, towing my trailer, to several off road 4x4 adventures. Ive never had any problems other than the odometer stop functioning, and it was replaced free of charge by Chevy. It has handled every conditon, and drives like a Cadillac, smooth and easy. I have 305-70R16 Dunlope/Remington tires mounted on Centerline rims. I get approx. 18 mpg hwy and 15 city on good days driving the speed limit on cruise control.

Best SUV on the Planet!! - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By richohaa - September 8 - 10:00 amI traded in my 1997 Tahoe for a 2003 model. What a truck!! The LT model has every amenity on the planet! It is the most comfortable, best handling, and sleekest looking SUV anywhere. Dont even bother looking at another SUV...The Tahoe is simply the best. RAS

A big SUV for a big guy - 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe
By FRW - July 19 - 10:35 amThis is my second Tahoe Z71. My 03 was somewhat of a lemon. A beautiful vehicle, but with a number of small and one large problem. I took a chance and bought another and I am glad I did. I am a big guy 6 ft 250 and need a big vehicle. I love this truck. It is comfortable, roomy, good off road and in bad weather. It carries pretty much everythig I need to carry and can pull what cant be carried. Does everybody need a full size SUV, no. But America is the land of choices and I am glad that I have the choice to own a Tahoe. My wife owns a Land Cruiser that cost $15,000 more and it doesnt have near the power, comfort, room, amenities or gas mileage(the Tahoes could be better).
