This Year's Model Updates:

A sporty new XRS model debuts boasting a 170-horsepower engine and a sport-tuned suspension. Additionally, all Corollas receive a restyled front fascia and rear taillights. The LE model now has Lexus-like Optitron instrumentation, along with a cloth-trimmed center console and sun visors. Side curtain airbags, stability control and a JBL audio system are all new options.

Pros:
  • Refined and roomy interior, excellent gas mileage and crash test scores, long list of safety features, spunky XRS model, illustrious reliability record.
Cons:
  • Awkward driver-seat position, bland personality, gets pricey when even basic features are desired, sedan body style only.

  • Great Car! - 2005 Toyota Corolla

This little Impulse Red sporty sedan is awesome! It was pricey for sure, and they were tough on lowering the price even a little, regardless of the ding on the rear bumper. But it worth the comfort, safety is top noche, and the warranty is unbeleivable! The stereo has good sound and the stear ratio is nice on U-turns. I feel like I am in a $40,000 sports car when really it is a sporty sedan 4-door. Also, for 130 Horsepower it has incredible take off and acceleration, perfect brakes - I bought this used with too many miles but I fell in love. I never even thought I would own a Toyota, so give it a chance and check it out.

I love toyota they are the only cars I will buy. My last one had 250,000 miles and it was still going when i traded it in. The only thing I dont is the velour interior it attracts alot of lint.

Typical toyota suspension whats up with these cars and trucks. Wanders all over the road on highway 17 in Awatukee AZ. Best engine, tranny combo, whips stock civics gear stronger.

Needing to save $ on gas, this car does it. Excellent wood grain interior, all controls easy to access so you dont take your eyes off the road. I cant wait to see how long I can make this car last.

I really like everything about the new Corollas. I had a 2000 CE and traded it in for the 2005 CE. Performance continues to be great and will expect another 200,000 miles on this vehicle. I like the newer body style, color selections and comfort. Many more things standard than they had in 2000 and affordable.

I looked for the vehicle for over 6 months and ended up at a dealership in used cars. First thing I noticed when I had them put the car up on the lift for inspection was a few drips of oil under the oil pan. The sales person assured me it was from the recent oil change. I kept an eye on it for a few weeks and it continued. Took the car to a nearby Toyota dealership and they found a leaking spot weld in the oil pan. Manufacturer warranty covered the replacement and I was good to go! The car is a great and gets 28-32 city and some highway driving in a big city. Very good handling and reliability is acceptable. Have only had to change oil and rotate tires.

I like this car for its looks and gas mileage. Seems to be enough room for my 6ft. 2in frame at 230 lbs. Power seems to be ok. It does get up and move pretty well. My last vehicle (Chevy s- 10 Zr2) the gas gauge moved as fast as the tach. 13 miles to the gallon didnt get it. Besides having some bad experiences with the dealership that I purchased the Chevy from. Its a shame when You have been a customer for 13 yrs and the dealership treats you in a bad way. All in all its quite the car. The price isnt bad. Im tired of these more expensive rides that get no gas mileage. Its a shame that these gas eaters are still around. Being retired, there is no way Im paying for all that gas.

The car is too small to find a comfortable position. Made for very small people, the power is... there isnt any. The seals leak on the window. Very noisy ride. AC cant really keep the car cool enough inside. The sound system is poor quality. Low and hard seats leave a person hurting after a trip around town. Visibility is very poor to the rear of drivers side. Low clearance under car makes a small road hazard a very big problem. Cheap paint, chips easy. Handling on icy roads very good, but low clearance is again a big problem.

Bought the 2005 Corolla as a 2nd car. It is fun to drive, no rattles, quiet, everything in the car fits perfectly. I am 6ft4in. and I have plenty of leg, shoulder and head room. I have to move the seat forward. Great car.
