  • The Best - 2002 Toyota Celica

A Celica has been my dream car for a few years now, and I just bought an 02 GT-S with the body kit (black with clear and blue bulbs in the headlights, blue side marker bulbs with clear lenses) and it is great. I get sooooooo many compliments on my car wherever I go. The styling on it is AMAZING! And the there is no other car that even slightly resembles it. Its not as fast as I would like, but the look makes up for it. Also, it is kind of loud, and is pretty cramped in the rear seats. But I would suggest this car to anyone who is smaller and loves sports or tuner cars! Toyota is great, and the Celica is the best sporty coupe out there.

We bought this car when me and my wife got married with 30,000 miles, the mileage now is 125,000. Since then we never had a single problem all we did its an oil change thats all, it is a wonderful car maintenance wise super reliable and awesome fuel economy, lots of trunk space unusual for the car its size. The things we are not so happy are the rear seats, lack of space even for kids, Horrible cup holder location and blind spots in the rear. Nice car definitely not family car.

I love this car. This is my first Celica, and I couldnt be happier. I have now own it for a little over three years, and still love to drive it. Fuel economy is very good, about 30 mpg in town. I do a lot of city driving in Atlanta, and also a lot of interstate driving... long trips. I have no complaints about this vehicle. At 73,000 miles all I have had to do is change the oil and tires. I have had no incidences of mechanical problems or otherwise. It has a very classic look, mine has the rear spoiler, but none of the trendy optional ground effects, looks like a classic raodster. After 3 years people still say they love this car.

  • Toyota, Please bring this car back - 2002 Toyota Celica

I bought my 2002 new and have 190,000 miles on it. I just returned from a seven week 9400 mile road trip. My guitar, my golf clubs, my clothes with room for a passenger. This is one of those amazing cars like the old Honda Civic Hatchback that do so many things well. On top of that, this design was over the top for a $20K sports car. I hope you all recall the great commercials implying that the car looked like it was going 60 while standing still. Since Toyota sold nearly as many of these as Mitsubishi did of their Eclipse I still dont understand the move to discontinue it. Lets face it, the MR2 may have been a performer but one could never travel in it with more than a carry-on.

This car is a beauty. On top of that, its engine has got a lot of pep, especially for a 4 cylinder. I was surprised at the amount of trunk space, but the back seat space was as cramped as expected. A great commuting car.

  • Solid coupe - 2002 Toyota Celica

Solid sporty coupe, had it for almost six years now and the only maintenance Ive had to perform is changing fluids, tires, etc. It doesnt have massive amounts of power but with a manual its possible to extract decent performance out of the base GT engine. Turning is superb; the car handles like its on a track. The handling compares favorably to a Cooper S and is comparable to a Miata.

  • The best buy not the best car - 2002 Toyota Celica

The Celica 2002 in my opinion is the best buy available on sporty coupes, but if you compare speed with the Subaru impreza and the Acura RSX youll see they do better. Anyway, the car is just great and amazing is a great value and it has it all for less, moonroof great music, excellent performance, awesome breaks, great seats, the best look of all sporty coupes, great warranty, and the best realiability and resale value, remember is a Toyota.

  • I Love My Little CarCar! - 2002 Toyota Celica

I am so in love with my Celica. I bought it new in 2002. Ive put on so many miles! I drive a ridiculous amount and this car has never let me down - including the time I drove it home 85 MILES after being rear-ended - the exhaust pipe was COMPLETELY bent in on itself and the car made it home like a trooper! This car corners like its on rails and has the most awesome breaks ever. It stops on a dime and gives you 9 cents back! It is a sporty car so you definitely feel every bump on the road, but let me tell you, this car makes you ONE with the road! This car is so responsive! I love it!
