Im gonna miss this car... - 2002 Toyota Celica
By Zahmorri - October 26 - 1:06 pmMy Celica treated me so well. Handled like a dream, fantastic gas mileage (always around 30 mpg), not a single mechanical issue in the six years I owned it (bought it used in 2004 with 30k). Very smooth manual transmission. Yeah, theres no backseat, but what do you expect? Its not meant to be a family car. With decent tires, it can handle a Kansas winter, which is saying a lot for a 2400 lb car. I got in a bad front-impact accident and totaled mine, and the crush zones were phenomenal. Everything behind the firewall was completely untouched. For such a small car, I felt very safe in it. Not to mention sexy, because its a dang good looking car.

Got Lift? - 2002 Toyota Celica
By JonIndianaPA - August 7 - 10:00 amWow, I love my 2002 Celica GTS! The sound of the engine and exhaust is music to my ears. Talk about driver/road interfacing, this car is amazing. Even for the automatic (sport shifters on the wheel), the power is pretty good. But the handling and control is its gem. I hit lift all the time, when I really need it. Unlike some V6/8s which use gas all the time, you can get good mpg if you drive it lightly, but if you feel a little wild and open her up, your mpg will degrade. The car is very sytlish and is unique. The GTS trim is rare, and the leather seats give the car a more lux appearance. I love the wheels of the GTS too! This is a great car!

Great little car - 2002 Toyota Celica
By ken - May 14 - 10:56 pmIm 65 and have owned this car for 3 years. I plan on keeping it for the rest of my life. It is really fun to drive, it has excellent brakes, handles great, gets good gas mileage,(32 mpg highway) and is super reliable, Ive had zero problems with it. The only changes Ive done on it are going to 16" performance tires and a low restriction air filter. It is plenty fast when you need to pass on 2 lane roads. High speed stability is outstanding. Im 63" so it is a little tight when I slide under the steering wheel, but the headroom is fine. My only complaints are what everyone else seems to mention in their reviews, not enough low end torque, rear visibility, and rear seat room.

Alright car for an alright price - 2002 Toyota Celica
By Celicagts - March 31 - 2:00 amThe car is fast but only at high rpms, but at that time you will be losing the race. The gears on my gt-s are to close and I haave almost gotten rear-ended twice because I shifted wrong, so be carefull

By drago - December 30 - 10:00 amI fell in love with the car before I even sat in one to test drive it. I did online research about every aspect of this car. I still went in to the dealership with an open mind. This car... WOW!
