Not too sporty but man is it reliable - 2002 Toyota Celica
By VD Drew - February 12 - 3:30 pmCelica is my wifes car prior 2 us meeting and weve purchased 2 newer cars since marrying. Having kids Ive tired to sell this 2door however after 2 years of spending $ on the newer cars, this celica has the most miles but 20% of the cost of maintaining the other cars. Its underpowered, doesnt have enough torque, and has a very disappointing rt=rear blind spot, horrible rear seats, uncomfortable for tall drivers, slopping dash where u cant put anything on. I found other small cars better and faster like the Mazda 3, Corolla, Vibe. Pros are its nimble, good looking, good gas mileage, easy to maintain, awesome on curves.

Best 4cyl ever driven - 2002 Toyota Celica
By JScev - January 23 - 6:43 pmI have had this car for over a yr and i love it. i have had minimal problems. i got back and forth to college and i get around 40 mpg. i do have exhaust, header and intake to help but it is still very good. My parents have an 04 civic ex and my celica GT blows it away, as does it smoke the 02 cavy my bro has.

Driving Blind - 2002 Toyota Celica
By Waz - December 17 - 10:00 amI really enjoy the Celica for its style and performance, however the visablity is very poor. Their are several blind spots. The rear spoiler is right in the line of sight for the rear view mirror making it difficult to see whats behind you.

Owners Pride - 2002 Toyota Celica
By LV_Boy - November 12 - 2:00 amWhat can i say, Celica GT-S is simply a dream machine for anyone who would like to own a reliable and economical race car for normal roads. Excellent steering and immense control on curved roads allows me to step on the gas and make turns, on speeds between 50-60 mph, seem easy. Of all the sport coupe competitors i have driven, Celica feels more in control as a race car.

Dependable Car - 2002 Toyota Celica
By celica02 - October 30 - 11:53 pmThis car was very smooth when I first got it. Fun to drive alone or with another person. Doesnt have a lot of torque or horse so I wouldnt recommend carrying 2+ passengers. Very nice on the turns. This is my first car and Im planning on driving it until the wheels fall off. Sport seats are very comfortable. Makes you feel like youre sitting on the floor. This is a good car for daly commuters or first car owners. I shouldnt gotten the GT-S package. Looks nice with the TRD body and has more horse.

BEST VALUE - 2002 Toyota Celica
By MarlinSD - April 2 - 10:00 amThe Celica GT is clearly the best value of sport coupes. Great sporty look from the front. Looks like the over 30k cars. Gas mileage is excellent. Somewhat limited rear view but not too bad. Very acceptable amount of trunk space. If you expect really quick pick up of the line then get the 180hp GT-S otherwise the 140hp engine is fine. Cruise control well designed and a quite enjoyable feature. Back seats sit low. Got a fleet price through Edmunds.
