This Year's Model Updates:

A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).

Pros:
  • Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
Cons:
  • Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

  • The VUE is a GREAT VEHICLE - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

I wasnt even thinking of buying a VUE. I was looking at the minivans and stopped in the Saturn dealership. Since they didnt make a minivan (in OCT of 03) I took a station wagon home for my wife to see. She didnt like it but asked if they had an SUV? I went back to to dealer and tried a VUE. I was sold in a minute! What a confortable ride and unbelievable power in the V^ motor. When my wife first drove it she saie "Wow! You have to be careful with it because it has so much power" I have no doubt buying it was the right decision, even after now driving it more than 8,000 miles.

  • a great car - 2004 Saturn VUE

i am amazed at how great this car is, no problems at all. go to the dealer for oil changes and tire rotations only.

  • Red Line Vue the Way to Go! - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

This car is very peppy. The Red Line styling is very sharp, with its 18" wheels, lower suspension and chrome tailpipe. Its fun to drive, and very roomy for a smaller SUV. Quite sporty for a Saturn.

  • LOVE THAT SATURN - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

Having driven various models from several manufacturers I settled on the SATURN. The bang for the buck is very good. 250 HP a five speed automatic that is really smooth and quiet. I think the seats could be abit larger but the overall comfort and fun to drive factors are very high. Everything worked right out of the box and the sales/service experience is terrific.

  • Outstanding - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

We bought this Vue used w/12,000 miles on ot. It was an executives car. Its made three trips to the southeast from Iowa and never a single problem. We did replace the mud tires with street tires in 06. Being retired we average about 8,000 per year So far we havent spent a dime on repairs outside normal maintenance. I used Mobil 1 oil and filter exclusively and put a K&N air filter on it. Oil changes once per year. Never burns a drop of oil. My only complaint is that it is noisy inside but weve learned to live with it.

  • What A Difference from 2003 - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

I traded in my 2003 VUE for the new 2004, and am amazed at the changes made in a single model year. Its like a whole new vehicle. The car really likes to go! The ride is quieter with better road feel, though the car seems a tiny bit more reluctant to turn (tighter steering).

  • what sloppy stearing. - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

I,m not sure who was complaining about the sloppy stearing, but they must be use to driving a 1970 Ford truck without power strearing. So far my wife and I are extremely pleased.

  • I love my VUE - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

I purchased my VUE brand new in 2003, and I have been more than pleased with it ever since. The interior is very comfortable. The leather seats are soft but firm. The interior space is great, instrument panel and gauges arranged almost perfectly. The factory sound system is amazing, and the overall ride is very good. This was a great choice, and I am considering getting another one.

  • Vue-ish - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

After 1000 miles we are quite happy with our VUE. Mileage is about 20.5 without any significant freeway driving. Acceleration with the Honda powertrain is excellent. Steering is soft but acceptable. Handles and rides well though road bumps come through the cabin harder than I expected. Back window always dirty No key-way for back door??? Good interior lighting. Brakes feel good. Like shifter design/placement. Heater-a/c controls feel and look cheap. Great step in/out height for me at 6 and my wife at 57". Like the sporty/athletic/aggressive look

  • 1 month and counting - 2004 Saturn VUE
    By -

Nice vehicle. Have only had it a month now and like it so far. I love the exterior design and the green metallic paint is hot! The V6 is outrageous. I have not been beaten off the line since I bought my VUE. Smooth and powerful, yet quiet and easy on gas. I love it, my wife loves it, and our friends are jealous.
